About the property

A self-catering two bedroom apartment in San Jaime with pools & restaurants

This first floor refurbished family apartment set within the well maintained San Jaime complex, with access to 3 pools, 3 restaurants and bars internet and play areas, and is 5 minutes walk from the Son Bou resort centre and beautiful beach. The apartment has a spacious fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. 2 double bedrooms, fully fitted bathroom, and sun terraces at both the front and the rear of the apartment. The bedrooms are furnished with 1 double and 2 single beds and a sofa bed. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans to provide air conditioning. The bathroom has a 3 piece suite with shower and includes a washing machine. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, dishwasher, electric oven with a full grill facility. There is also a microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster and electric kettle. The lounge has double sofa bed with 2 easy chairs, dining table with 4 chairs, coffee table and TV( with local/European channels only)/DVD, CD player/radio. The sun terrace to the front with awning has a 6 person table with chairs and the rear terrace also has table and additional chairs and. Sun cushions are provided for all the leisure chairs for the comfort of guests. Safe provided for valuables storage. There is a well stocked supermarket and medical centre within 5 minutes of the apartment and there are nightly shows in high season including a children's disco. our Management Company has facilities for left luggage and showers if your departure time is after your check-out time. The golf course at Son Parc is 15 minutes away to the North.

Car hire information can be provided upon request. Local car hire provider (Menocars) can provide hire cars to the airport or apartment see Menocars web site www.menocars.com( prices usually include collision damage insurance).

Currently (2010) taxis cost about 35 Euros for a party of 4 travelling together from the airport to the apartment and the journey time is approximately 30 minutes.

We can pre book taxis to and from airport through our management company or in resort through reception at management company.

Beach towels can be hired from management company cost 7E per day approx. Cheaper weekly rate. Deposit charge applies for beach towel hire.

Medical centre about 150 metres away. English speaking staff. doctor usually present in high season daily and can be called to resort in a few minutes if required urgently. This is a private medical facility and charges for a consultation (not part of the state health system - Euro health card). The local hospital in Alaior ( 7Km away deals with patients wishing to use Euro Health Card provision

Why Jim & Maureen Murray chose San Jaime Mediterráneo

After coming to Menorca for many years we purchased this property in a quiet part of Son Bou Gardens, but with in easy reach of the entertainment and pools, supermarket, bakery and local amenities. it is foremost a family home and well equipped. It was refurbished in 2015.

What makes this apartment unique

Son Bou is the longest sandy child friendly beach on the Island patrolled by lifeguards. There are 3 beach bars open from morning to late evening for drinks, snacks or meals.

Mahon Airport is about 15 minutes away by car or taxi.

Airport transfers can be arranged at extra cost.

Car hire is not essential as a good bus service operates to Alaior and Mahon with connections to other parts of the Island from a stop beside the apartment. There are car hire companies operating at the airport as well as in the resort.

Entry to the apartment is from 1400 hours and the apartment must be vacated by 1000 hours unless otherwise advised.

An excellent clean and comfortable apartment in a beautiful setting close to pool, supermarket, cafes with further excellent restaurants shops and superb beach with cafes a ten-15 minutes walk away. Regular bus links to Mahon (with lovely shops and very interesting) with further bus links to other resorts .

The apartment was as anybody would hope for to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable holiday! It was clean, very well equipped and spacious enough for my family of 5 for the fortnight in August/September 2014.

From our initial contact, I found Maureen most helpful, answering all my emails promptly and providing me with a wealth of information about the resort as well as her apartment and the management company. She even arranged our airport transfers which I found to be very competitive in price.

The resort itself is simply beautiful and it would be very hard not to come home rested. There are lots of restaurants to choose from as well as several bars. The apartment is about 10 minutes walk away from the picturesque beach. The biggest decisions we had to make for a fortnight was whether to relax around the pool or on the beach. All of my children (aged 21, 15 & 9 )thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we look forward to hopefully returning soon.

Lovely apartment!

This apartment really is wonderful. Everything you need for a totally relaxing holiday - we couldn't find a single thing missing that you might need, it's all there! Beautifully situated 10 minutes from the beach and restaurants it really is perfect. Jim and Maureen couldn't be more helpful and are full of information about Son Bou and Menorca. We look forward to returning again as soon as possible!

We had a lovely holiday in Menorca. Maureen and Jim were really nice and couldn't have done enough to help us. The apartment is in an ideal position and close to the pools, supermarket and a large selection of restaurants. The apartment was very clean and contained everything that we needed. Our two teenage daughters really enjoyed their holiday as well. Son Bou is an ideal location for a holiday and we will definitely be visiting again and would recommend this property to anyone.

The San Jaime complex offers nightly entertainment from June to September with a choice of 3 restaurants\bars, 3 pools and 2 supermarkets within a short walk with various attractions including tennis courts, children's play area and water flumes. The town centre and beach, only 5 minutes away, also offers many more bars and restaurants including traditional fare, Italian and Chinese cuisine and other attractions and children's activity area with bouncy castles and trampolines. Many of the restaurants in both the San Jaime complex and the town centre offer carry-out dining. The Son Bou beach is the longest and sandiest beach on the island and is beautifully maintained with a full lifeguard service, boat/pedalo hire 3 beach bars and amenities. An excellent bus service is available to the major towns and resorts on the island.

Golf: An 18 hole golf course is located at Son Parc in the north of the island about 25 minutes drive away. Contact details for the golf course can be provided on request.
