About Matt or Rachel Fehr

My wife and I grew up in the great state of Iowa. We moved to Colorado 6 years ago and own the Great Harvest Bread Co. in Greenwood Village, CO. We love living in Colorado and the beauty it has to offer. We have 4 sons and 1 daughter ranging in age from 7 to 17. We hope you enjoy staying in our home and are happy to share it with you!

Matt or Rachel Fehr purchased this house in 2015

Why Matt or Rachel Fehr chose Winter Park

We purchased this home to give us place to come to when we can get away. We love going to Winter Park It is such a quaint mountain town. You will see all kinds of wildlife, enjoy beautiful scenery, and still have the benefits of restaurants, a rec center, shopping, and grocery stores. We love that you can just sit at the bottom of the mountains on the porch and drink coffee. It is beautiful during all 4 seasons, and if you ski it is an ideal location!

What makes this house unique

The views from the master bedroom and the upper floor are beautiful. You will enjoy the bike trails, walking trails, and skiing that are just a couple hundred feet from the house. The steam shower after a hard day of skiing will help you to relax.

Peaceful mountain retreat

  • 4 of 5

The accommodations were perfect for the number of people that was in the group. It was an easy 10 minute drive to downtown and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The only issues was that there was not enough toilet tissue and we brought that and dishwashing liquid from the store. There was also a departure binder that had the group confused since it stated that sheets and towels needed to be washed before leaving, but when I contacted the owner via email I received a prompt response notifying me that we were not to pay attention to the binder, because it did not apply. Therefore I am not sure why it was even visible, but other than that it was a lovely place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

First,

Location , Location, Location doesn't do this place justice. My 12yo twins and I left Chicago at midnight. After a quick nap in Iowa I drove strait thru. I forgot that there was nothing to look at in Iowa or Nebraska on I-80, we just wanted to get to Winter Park. Found the House without a problem. VRBO had sent me a e-mail with how to gain access, but it got sent to my Spam folder. After calling VRBO to explain my issue, they were able to get in touch with Matt and he called my cellphone with all the info i needed. My plan was not to bother the owners

at all. Matt was more than understanding and we were in the house without a problem. The house was fantastic, plenty of room and everything we could need for a relaxing stay. The Twins can now say they have, seen, stayed and played in the Rockies. Access to the Resort was a short walk from the front door. Upon returning in the evenings the dining room was a great place to discuss our day and plan for the next. Matt checked up on us to see if we needed anything, we didn't but it was a nice professional touch. We hated leaving, I could have spent a month there and if we go back we will definitely try to stay here again.

Thanks,

Paul, Ryan and Rachel

Love the look and feel of the property

  • 5 of 5

Loved everything about the property. The living room overlooks the slopes and has a warm feel about it. The kitchen is large, well appointed and extremely functional. The main bedrooms are excellent.

Truly a pleasure to stay here.

Great trip and great property

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the property. The home was a great size for our big group and has excellent finishes. The location was perfect. The owner was very kind and responsive to questions. The stay was even better than expected. I'd recommend you stay there except for the days we want to come back!

Excellent location and wonderful property

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the property for 5 nights and went skiing for 4 days. The location was excellent. Very close to the slope. It was nicely furnished and well equipped. The owners were great to deal with. Plenty of activities nearby. We went horseback riding and snow shoeing. We would definitely stay at this property again.

12/18/15 - 12/22/15 stay

  • 5 of 5

Matt, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home in Winter Park. You home is absolutely beautiful and very spacious, and accommodated our group of 8 adults very well. The top floor with the large kitchen area and family room was perfect, allowing us to cook 3 of the 4 evenings, which was our preference. Our evening meal and family game nights was nearly as much fun as being on the slopes, which could not have been better with the excellent snow we had. Mary Jane was our favorite and where we spent most of our time. We used the bus system the first day to get to the slopes, sliding down the hill to your condo for lunch (which added to the adventure for the day). Day 2 and 3 of skiing we drove to the base of Mary Jane which was very convenient. Our trip could not have been any better! We would certainly recommend your home to any friend wishing to stay in the Winter Park area, and will be calling if we decide to make the trip again. Thank you very much for accommodating us.
