Haven't Stopped Talking About It!

  • 5 of 5

Top 10 things we loved about Quiver Full Farm:

10. Fresh eggs every morning

9. S'mores at the fire pit

8. Listening in on a "Rhiannon and The Relics" band practice in the barn

7. A great place to launch our adventures, including mountain biking, a sheep farm, horseback riding, mining for garnets, exploring streams, and an authentic Bar-B-Que dinner in Asheville

6. A clean, quiet, peaceful cottage with everything we needed and wanted

5. Milking Massie, and then enjoying the freshest milk we've ever tasted

4. The dogs, chickens, goats, horses, cow, bull, and turkey

3. Room for the kids to run and explore

2. Light streaming from the old tobacco barn at twilight

1. The amazing hospitality of the Ramseys

Quiver Full Farm provided us with a wonderful spring break, where we had all the privacy of our own place, and yet the Ramseys were always willing to answer any questions and allow us to participate in the everyday happenings on the farm.

A Slice of Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5

Where do I even begin? Waking up in the mornings and viewing horses grazing on the mountain pasture? Or listening to the sounds of the farm and nature on the front porch? Or maybe the down-right warm and inviting hospitality of our hosts, the Ramsey family? Either way, Quiver Full Farm is a slice of Heaven on Earth.

The cottage is rustic, warm, and cozy with comfortable beds. The kitchen is great to cook in – and if you love to cook – you can easily find fresh, local produce and meats to make amazing meals with (very farm to table). Over in Mars Hill (about a 10-minute drive), there is a market called Ingles. It is a phenomenal market with just about everything you could possibly ever need. If you are looking to be waited on, Asheville is just an easy 20-minute drive where delicious restaurants and breweries abound.

Depending on how adventurous you are, there are so many things to do in the area, that you can never be bored; whether it’s a leisurely drive down the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, tubing down the French Broad River, hiking, or whitewater rafting.

The Ramsey family lives in the house next to the cottage. They are the nicest folks we have ever met in our travels – always helpful, kind, and generous. And, while they live on the property, never once did we feel crowded by them. The Ramsey’s always respected our privacy.

All in all, this was one of the best vacations our family has had and it will long be remembered as such. Quiver Full Farm is definitely (without question) the best place to stay in the area.

Beautiful farm, lovely hosts, and phenomenal animals

  • 5 of 5

From our family of five, we are ever so thankful for the hospitality shown us. The cottage was beautiful and super comfortable. The stream could be heard at night which added to my sleep quality. Jeremy showed us around the farm and I was astounded at the beautiful barn that reminded me of Amish country with its farm tables. The amount of handcrafted items made for a beautiful location that would be great for a wedding reception or destination reunion. My two teenagers gave up electronics - no small feat- for the swings, animals, and hiking. My three year old loved on the animals every second she could, including holding a hen but I still think the colt was her favorite. The relaxation was priceless. The eggs? Oh so yummy. We fully plan to come visit again - one asked to move here and one cried for fifteen minutes after we left because they didn’t want to leave. Thank you again so very much! The Clay Family from Chapel Hill, NC.

wonderful and an unforgettable experience

  • 5 of 5

Haley and Jeremy were very hospitable and they made us feel like we were at home. I loved all the animals on the farm and every time we visit them we have to pet them because of their cuteness. I loved the goats, dogs, horse, chickens and cow. We also loved the swings on the farm. I will be sure to tell family and friends about this farm and its delightful owners.
