Located in the oldest town on Long Beach Island, this home started its life in about 1870 as the Beach Haven Lumber Company. The main building, along with the numerous out-buildings served the construction and home needs of LBI and the neighboring mainland towns. One of the smaller buildings which remains to this day, The Cottage, was the carriage house for the old Baldwin Hotel.
Converted to a residence in the early 1900s, this home is now on the National Registry of Historic Homes. Over the years, the main house and the cottage have been a residence and beach house to a few families. In 2011, Hurricane Sandy left her mark with about 2 feet of water throughout the cottage and main house.
Major renovations and repairs were completed in 2015. The Lumber Yard is now open to guests. For an up to date quote, you can contact me directly at : firstname.lastname@example.org or 201-400-2910.
