Spacious three bedroom, two and one half bath home located directly house across the street from Washington Park. This house features all major appliances, including a washer and dryer, fireplace and dishwasher. The master is large with a balcony that overlooks the park. Washing parks includes tennis courts, a swimming pool and a large playground. The basement apartment is not included, but can be made available for an additional fee.

Located just 2 miles from downtown Atlanta, we are convenient to Centennial park, The Georgia World Congress Center, World of Coke, Georgia aquarium, Georgia Dome Phillips Arena, Fox Theater and all downtown and midtown attractions.

Public transportation MARTA is 2 blocks away.

My home is convenient to so many things, we are 2 blocks from public transportation, 1 mile from the Georgia Dome and less than 2 miles form all the downtown attractions. We are also located across the street from a park which features, an indoor pool, tennis courts and a playground

Beautiful property. A Hidden gem!

My husband and I and our three little girls were very happy with our stay at Diane's property. The house is lovely and large, and equipped with everything you need for an extended stay. It's very close to many attractions, which was a huge plus for my family. The park across the street from the house was very clean and quiet, tucked up in some beautiful trees and next to a ball park and a natatorium for those interested in getting outside or getting some exercise. The house was very clean and inviting, and we didn't hear a peep out of neighbors so it ended up being a quiet stay. The on site laundry was a welcome convenience, and there was a grill outside in the back deck. We didn't really find any shopping or restaurants within walking distance necessarily, but there is a Wal-Mart close for last minute necessities, and tons more shopping and plenty of restaurants just a short driving distance from the house. We have stayed at a lot of places through HomeAway.com and this ranks high on the list of properties in our opinion. If we had to suggest anything it would be perhaps two items.

1) Perhaps share a list of some favorite local restaurants/shopping spots within walking distance (if applicable), or a list of places (with phone numbers) that will deliver food to the house for those nights when you don't feel like going out for yet another meal.

2) Maybe leave a sheet detailing some rules and/or guidelines for staying or just basic helpful information. (ie: internet log on, Netflix log on, where/when to take out trash and which cans, what is available for use by guests in the house and what is off limits, clean-up rules for last day such as what needs washed, what to do about bedding, what to do with final dishes, etc)

We have found these lists to be very helpful in the past, and found our time bothering the owner/property manager decreased when all of these questions were addressed in advance and put in a place that was easy to repeatedly refer to. It is by no means the end of the world not having that information at arm's length however, as Diane was incredibly accommodating and was more than happy to help us promptly when we had a question or problem. She is sweet and kind and I would be happy to recommend her home to a friend, and would happily consider staying at her property again in the future!

Had an amazing stay. Great location. Felt like home

What a hidden gem. Was in town for a convention at the GWCC. Diane made us feel right at home. Love the fact that this house has spirit and is "lived in". I have rented many homes on VRBO and all are only for rental revenue. This is actually Diane's home and was beautiful. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Atlanta

The Perfect Spot!

I was in Atlanta for a conference that was taking place downtown. This house is perfectly located. I was able to get to and from in 10-15 minutes everyday. Lena Street is lined with great neighbors that are friendly. I met many of them when I took my Chihuahua out for walks. The park across the street is great if you have a dog or if you just want to take a nice walk after a long day. Miss Diane's home is beautiful. She is so nice, attentive, and available. My mother, my dog, and I loved your home and we cannot wait to plan our next visit to Atlanta. If this property is available, I would definitely make it my 1st choice every time I'm in town.

Lovely home on a quiet street

I booked this house for a conference at the GWCC. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the MARTA and take it a short ride to the convention center. The house was lovely, and the upstairs porch was perfect to sit out and unwind after a long day. The owner was helpful and available, but not intrusive. I would stay here again for a conference or with my family.

Good Stay - Urban Setting Close to Downtown Atlanta

We stayed in this home with our family in late June/early July. We chose the home for its size and its accessibility to downtown. Our party included older teens, middle agers and septuagenarians. The home is very comfortable and well-appointed -- it feels like "home." The location is very convenient to downtown Atlanta as well as other locations in West and South Atlanta. The neighborhood is urban, yet feels like an oasis - quiet, tree-lined street and a large park directly across the street. There is a metro train station within a few blocks. The home's front porch and upper gallery are nice and shaded and the swing upstairs is particularly nice. Though there is really no yard to speak of, there is a nice sized deck off the kitchen which has a table, chairs and a BBQ grill (which we did not use). The beds in the three bedrooms were comfortable and the bedding was adequate and clean. There were plenty of bath linens available along with a washer and dryer conveniently located upstairs. The home owner checked in with us appropriately to make sure we had what we needed and was very responsive to our questions both before and during our stay. All in all, this home was perfect for us in terms of location, comfort, suiting our needs and meeting our expectations. All that said, I have an observation and a critique: (1) if you are not comfortable with an urban setting, this home may not be for you. I want to emphasize we felt entirely safe in this property at all times, however, some may find portions of the surrounding neighborhoods (which are passed through by car or when accessing the metro train station) to be a bit unsettling due to some urban blight and poverty; (2) the home's kitchen deck along with the front porch and gallery were in need of a good "spring" cleaning during our stay. Given the condition of the rest of the home, I feel confident this issue was merely a function of the homeowner not yet being able to get to that detail. We would stay again at this home next time we are in Atlanta.

Great Experience

We had a lovely time at Diane's house. The location was great - within walking distance to the MARTA station and close to other attractions. The house was so nice, everything that the pictures and the descriptions say it is. Diane herself was gem. She answered multiple questions I had before we even arrived, and continued to be of service throughout our stay. She always responded to any question within the hour. If you plan on traveling to Atlanta, Diane's home is definitely worth a try!
