About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental managementthings like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Lucky Cabin

 • 3 of 5

If you want to stay in Truckee and be in a very cool older style original log cabin, this has a lot of character. It is small but provides everything you will need for a fun stay in the mountains. We have stayed in the cabin, both in the winter and summer, and would highly recommend. That said, it is also not a 4-star lodge so if you are looking for something newer and or nicer this is not the place.

Quick mid-week trip

 • 4 of 5

This house is the right price and comfort level. The house was warm, clean and we had hot water. There were tons of board games that kept us playing together as family. No issues or complaints. We will definitely stay here again.

Great cabin

 • 5 of 5

The location was great- close to i80 and Truckee, but still secluded enough to have privacy. The back yard is great- stretches down to a small creek. Very dog friendly- just be careful when unloading your vehicle as the parking is right off a somewhat busy road. The cabin had a ton of kitchen appliances I did not expect-it was super convenient. The beds were very comfortable. They also keep a ton of firewood to keep the wood stove going... great to sit around and read a book from the eclectic collection they had (there are also board games and supply for arts and crafts for kiddos). If you get there early check out the cabin yourself as we did not get an email notifying us it was ready and just happened to arrive 2 hours ahead of schedule. The cleaning crew were already gone so we let ourselves in. Overall great experience and would definitely go back

Loved Lucky Tree Cabin!

 • 5 of 5

Our family of four (two parents, two teens) stayed here over NYE for a ski vacation. Loved all of the family heirlooms and antiques. The house was clean, kitchen well stocked, beds (queens) were comfortable though we are not fans of footboards (we're a tall family). The house would be crowded in the winter with six people. Location is great for skiing - easy to get out of Tahoe Donner and head to the slopes. When it snows, Northwoods Blvd. is plowed, so exiting the property is easier than houses located on side streets. At the same time, the house is back from the road so it feels private. Wish it had a hot tub (though the rec center is pretty close).

Loved Lucky Tree Cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds are comfortable, house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Loved the family heirlooms and antiques! Our family of four (two parents, two teens) stayed here to go skiing - the house would be a little crowded with six people. When it snowed, it was easy to leave as Northwoods Blvd. is regularly plowed.
