Delightful 2bedroom airconditioned apt near shops, bus and train.

This is the perfect place for a summer holiday on the Cote d'Azur. Ideal for families, friends and romantic couples. This is the owner's personal apartment and is rented on a weekly basis from mid December to March 31, one week in May and mid July to end of September. PLEASE NOTE: In May and in the winter only, one bedroom for 2 people will be available. Possibility of a mattress in the lounge for a third person The apartment has two sun-trap terraces - one on East side and another on the South-West side - overlooking the city with views of the hills. The terraces are equipped with table and chairs to enjoy 'alfresco' meals. There are sun-loungers for relaxing in the sunshine and an umbrella when it gets too hot. The apartment was attractively refurbished a few years ago and is comfortable and stylish. It is on the top floor with a lift. Blankets, linen and towels are provided. AIR CONDITION IN ALL ROOMS

Our holiday in Nice was very pleasing and both Margaret and I feel that the apartment contributed greatly to our enjoyment of the holiday because it was so comfortable, spacious and quiet.

We loved the garden balcony and spent many peaceful afternoons sunbathing in private.

The proximity to the town centre, the shops and the beach was just about right; not too close that it was noisy - and not too far to walk at ease.

The choice of local shops and markets was also extensive.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Annemarie, we thought your apartment was absolutely delightful! The balconies were perfect - one for clothes and the other was a little oasis in the city! Being so high up, it really felt you could be anywhere.

You have decorated the flat very much in the way we probably would so it felt like a home from home! It was lovely to get a wee glimpse of your travels in the photos in your hall. We decided you were a teacher (like us!) with long holidays to travel far.

The apartment was in a good location for us with the short walk to the promenade and train station. ……………………..Claire was very pleasant and a great help …........................ We would thoroughly recommend your apartment to friends and perhaps we would be able to return ourselves sometime?

About Annemarie Schober

I am Austrian from Vienna and I like to hike and to travel. Since I had spent 8 years in France when I was young, I allways had in mind to one day coming back to spend my retirement there. So I did. However I would never give up my beautiful home town of Vienna, and therefore I am dividing my time between Nice and Vienna which allows me to rent my apartment in Nice when I am in Austria. And as I live in it myself for about 6 month a year, I decorated it according to my own taste which seems to be appreciated by the holiday makers who booked with me so far.

Why Annemarie Schober chose Nice

when I came back from a long stay in California I wanted to have a place even small in an area where I could speak the language, have a similar climate than in LA, have the ocean, mountains, interesting architecture and a cultural life.. The apartment had to be near the ocean, and had to have a terrace with nice views over the roofs of Nice. Now it is full with flowers making it a little oasis in the middle of Nice that hopefully many more holiday makers will enjoy just as much as I do...

Beautiful sunny and flowered terrace. Balcony on the east side offering shady afternoons.

  • The shower room is spacious - Its a very large room with french windows, laundry machine and a large shower.

  • The master bedroom has a double bed (1.4 metres) and good storage space. The second bedroom has a bed (1.4 metres) but no closet. Both bedrooms have double doors leading to a balcony with small table and 2 chairs to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun!. Please note that during the months of December, January, February, March, April and May, ONLY THE MASTER BEDROOM FOR 2 PEOPLE WILL BE A VAILABLE. If there is need for a 3rd person, we can only offer to put an air mattress into the living room! Neat, fully equipped kitchenette with dishwasher, fridge, electric oven and microwave. Living room has a comfortable settee, armchair, dining table with 4 chairs, television, radio and DVD player. Wifi available! NEW : BOTH BEDROOMS AND LIVING ROOM WILL HAVE AIR CONDITION WHEN NEEDED!

As we are on the 6th floor, we would prefer to have children over 5 years but babies are welcome. Not convenient for handicapped persons and for children under 5. Sorry, no smoking except on terrace. Sorry no pets. The apartment sleeps three. Parties of four only accepted by prior agreement with the owner. Blankets, linen and towels are provided. However for the period December, January, February, March, April and May ONLY THE MASTER BEDROOM FOR 2 WILL BE A VAILABLE!!.

Happy Holiday

I really enjoyed my stay in your apartment. The location was ideal,

between sea and railway station and it was wonderfully peaceful after

the hustle and bustle of the streets. It was also very well equipped

and I particularly liked being able to cook without having to go out

and buy lots of herbs and things. Claire and Kristof were very

pleasant and helpful. It was cosy and comfortable - ideal for one

person, or a couple. My only disappointment was the weather. I

expected it to be much warmer so I didn't get much of a chance to

enjoy your terrace. Maybe another time.

Nice: so much to do on the doorstep!

This was an excellent property for us, two singles. We travelled by train from Wales in one day, a great journey, with just two changes, at London and Paris, arriving Nice about 10.30pm, walked to the apartment in 5 minutes where Clare met us to welcome us and let us in to the property, a top floor apartment in a quiet residential area.

This apartment is very much a home, with interesting curios and photographs! Very clean too. Both bedrooms are doubles, with a spacious bathroom leading off one of them. This didn't bother us at all. The separate toilet is off the hallway no one got disturbed at night. The kitchen area is tiny but perfectly formed.

The Promenade is a stroll away and is lovely. Also, there are bus stops there for good, cheap, local buses in all directions, Cannes, Vence, St Paul de Vence, Monaco, Antibes.

There is so much to do and see, including fantastic art galleries and museums.

Do walk along the Promenade to the Old Town and around to the harbour, great shops and restaurants in both. Quilted bedspreads and cushion covers excellent quality and reasonably priced.

Find the local shops, we didn't until day three although they are only a street away. There is one good shop next door to the apartment block.

The apartment was compact and well equipped, though space was tight for storing food, clothes etc.

The kitchen was cramped for cooking.

We had made a mistake by going in August and found the heat too much, a little air conditioning would help.

The apartment is perfectly located for exploring Nice, being around 20 min walk from the old town and 10 mins from the beach. It is also 5 mins from the main railway station easily allowing for day trips further afield.

I would go again - in cooler weather!

Owner's Response: I am very appreciative of the comments received by the reviewer. In the past years the 2 ventilators, one in each bedroom, seemed to be sufficient for cooling the apartment even in August, but this year it was apparently hotter. I have planned to investigate into putting some air conditioning but this would of course increase the rental cost when used a lot.. The closet in the master bedroom is large and so far has been sufficient for people on holidays. The description of the flat on the website is very accurate. It also mentions the kitchenette, which of course is a small place and not a large kitchen. I would be most happy to receive tenants who dont want the heat in other periods, i.e. : mid December to beginning of March with much lower rental prices, or beginning of June which is already high season but less hot. Thks again to the reviewer for giving me the opportunity to receive his comments on his stay in my place!

Kleinod in der Stadt

Diese Wohnung ist der ideale platz um Nizza und die gesamte Cote d´Azur zu entdecken. Mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Für uns drei ( 2 Erwachsene und ein Teenager 14) war es ein erholsamer Aufenthalt. Praktisch ist das grosse Parkhaus am Bahnhof in der Nähe, welches vorab über das Internet gebucht werden kann. Die Wohnung war hell und sauber und die Schlüsselübergabe verlief unproblematisch mit einer Einweisung durch die betreuende Agentur.

Sämtliche Sachen lassen sich fussläufig erledigen und aúch das Nahverkehrsangebot ist so gut, sodass man kein Auto braucht.

Alles in Allem ein gelungener Urlaub in einem Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen. lann man nur empfehlen.

Über den Dächern von Nizza

Wir haben eine tolle Urlaubswoche in dieser Wohnung verbracht und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Sie war mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum täglichen Leben braucht. Das Highlight der Wohnung war die tolle Dachterasse, aber auch der kleine Balkon, den man vom Schlafzimmer aus betreten konnte, war morgens hervorragend - hier haben wir, in der Sonne, den ersten Kaffee genossen.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist ebenfalls gut. Man ist schnell am Bahnhof, aber auch am Meer, Fußgängerzone oder in der Altstadt.

The apartment is in the popular district of 'Musiciens', in cental Nice,a 10 minutes walk from the beach and the famous Negresco hotel. Walk or ride a bicycle on the beautiful Promenade des Anglais. Explore this fascinating area by train (station is just 10 minutes walk away) or by bus, and discover most interesting sites to be reached in 15 to 30 minutes such as Antibes, Cannes, Grasse, Vence, Villefranche, Beaulieu, Eze, Monaco and Menton. Grocery shopping is very close by as are restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and outdoor markets. There is even a small grocery store outside our building. There are picturesque walkways along thepromenade (starting at the 'Reserve' beyond Nice harbour) in Nice, around Cap Ferrat (starting at the end of the beach in Beaulieu) or in Antibes (starting at the end of 'Plage de la Garoupe). For art lovers, there are many museums such as the Chagall, Matisse (Nice), Picasso(Antibes and Vallauris), Cocteau (Menton) or Maeght Foundation in St Paul de Vence.
