Louis Bischoff purchased this studio in 1995
I knew it when I first saw the house. It needed me attention, and I wanted to give it. You can get away from the city and still be in the city. Depending on the wind, the sounds of the street car, river boats and trains remind me that my house is located near the river. Carrollton was laid out by Charles Zimple in 1833, and annexed by New Orleans in 1874.
I can hide from Mardi-Gras up here, or venture out and join the fun within 15 minute street car ride.
We needed something close to a family member as well as within walking distance to the trolly, restaurants etc. It was in a quiet and good neighborhood. Within a 15 minute walk you can get to anything you might need; drugstore, local restaurants, bakery and coffee. There was enough parking on the street, a big plus in New Orleans. A short ride would take you to the French Quarter, but still far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.
My third stay here and I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Exceptionally clean, comfortable, well appointed and eclectically New Orleans. Large enough for a small party that was enjoyed by all. Convenient to everything and plenty of free parking. Louis and Molly were fantastic hosts and a wealth of information. Can't wait to come back!! Ask to see Molly's jewelry.
Very nice property. A little small, but it is described well, and very affordable! Extremely clean and comfortable, and well lit. Great location. Adding a small couch in the bedroom would be nice.
Didn't use the kitchen but it looked well equipped. Owners are extremely nice.
This was a perfect spot for us to visit our daughter who is a Tulane graduate and now lives in the uptown area. Amazing 3 blocks from her house!!! I love walking around the Tulane campus. Oh the memories!!!
We have already told many relatives that this is the place to stay when visiting!!

We enjoyed the apartment. Very clean and a great location just a few minutes walk to the streetcar and Oak Street. I like the vibe of Carrolton/Uptown; funky. Free parking was a big bonus. Thanks.
Perfect for parents visiting their Kiddos off to college at either Tulane U, or Loyola U. Just 6 blocks away! 2015 Poboy Festival will be Sunday, 11-22. Just 3 blocks away! Saints football, Pelican basketball, Mardi-Gras, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Easter and all the Holidays, endless Super Dome events, and just being the Big Easy
