About the property

5 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 10-12

Gorgeous traditional lakefront Great Camp Estate with 5 BR, 3 Baths, 7.6 acres, stunning lake views, swimming and boating, and sweeping deck. Known by its long time owners as the 'Good Karma Camp', Camp Kee-oh-Nekh is one of the original Great Camps built by a wealthy family from Georgia in 1908.

Breath taking views, sweeping mountain views, looks out toward the Adirondack Wildnerness.

Incredible for fishing in Spring, Fall Foliage and Girls Weekends (three and four day weekends in Spring and Summer only). Please note: We do NOT book for two nights - there is a WEEK MINIMUM in Summer and 3 and 4 day minimums in Spring and Fall. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Set on a peaceful, quiet Lake in the center of the Adirondack 'kingdom' this place is unique like no other. Birch bark 'wallpaper' lines the great room, tree-cut original beams, hardwood floors, you can get away from it all in the comfort of this luxurious sylvan wonderland. Furnished with authentic antiques throughout. Secluded, private, everything you need.

The Camp includes a swimming dock (attached to land with gangplank) and a floating boat house with 315 feet of waterfront. The 7.6 acre estate property is secluded (private road). There are two large stone fireplaces in the living and dining rooms, an original dining room table and chairs (made by the caretaker of the property and featured in many antiques magazines and books throughout the years).

Birch bark walls and real tree beams 'brings the outdoors inside'. Charming screened-in porch with petrified birch antique round table and lanterns, the perfect gathering space for evening or morning. Lovely dining that seats up to 12 people, with antique furniture made on the property many years ago. A 20-foot Lean To seats 10, with a cooking fireplace and overlooks the lake for sunset and evening bonfires. Eat one meal at one of the four dining spots (including the kitchen, dining room, screened in porch and lean-to).

Long Lake is a 14 mile long natural lake in the central Adirondacks. Close to the Adirondack Museum, Raquette Lake, Tupper Lale, Indian Lake, and Saranac Lake. Canoeing, hiking, and fishing are the main activities. Fully equipped kitchen and gas grille for amazing vacation meals. Quintessential Adirondack Escape.

This historical property is available for rent in the months of June, July and August for one week intervals. We also allow rentals for 4 day weekends in June and September. June is the beginning of the season, and Sept/Oct are fall foliage bonanzas. There is no better foliage than the millions of acres of foliage you see in the Adirondack wilderness (see our Facebook page for photos of the foliage).

Kitchen and pantry are equipped with all the items you need to cook gourmet or country meals, including spices, sugar and flour, etc. Bed linens and towels provided.

About Julia & Mat Davis

Matt and Julia have always loved the wilderness. Buying the Adirondack Great Camp represented a dream for the couple. While they stay here as much as possible, they do open the property up to renters to enjoy. We have many repeat renters. Recently we have decided to open up the prorperty for rent in June, September and the first half of October.

Why Julia & Mat Davis chose Adirondacks

The Great Camp Estate -- Camp Kee-O-Nekh -- is a peaceful luxurious country estate retreat. Set just steps from the Lake, the front porch looks over the lake, and out into the wilderness behind it. Perfect site for a family get-a-way or a multi-generational family reunion. Fishing, Weekend Getaways, Fall Foliage (Summer is ONE WEEK MINIMUM RENTAL - Fall and Spring are 3- or 4-day weekends ONLY no exceptions).

Fully stocked pantry with pots, pans, spices etc.

This Great Camp was built in 1909 by a wealthy landowner from Georgia looking to escape the heat. When we came upon it, we were charmed by its complete privacy, its absolutely quiet - but yet complete - world within the heart of the Adirondacks. Hardwood Floors, modern kitchen, spring-fed water supply, wood stoves, 12 foot fireplaces, original antiques, a porch that spans the front of the house with a charming screened in porch, a lean-to that seats up to 20 people for a boathouse/waterfront. What could be better than this? Of yes - Birch Bark walls! That's right - it's an original!

What makes this house unique

Escape into a wilderness luxurious Adirondack lakefront estate. Sit in the hammock and look at the water, take an early morning kayak ride on a pristine, untouched spring-fed lake, fish in the reeds, waterski, paddle board or just relax! Have morning coffee on the front porch, watch the sun rise, the fish jump, and the loons dive for food. You might even see a moose or deer wandering about.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our family had a wonderful time at this camp. We are long time and frequent ADK renters and this camp and the Long Lake location was by far the best we have experienced. The camp has an authentic ADK great camp feel. It is quiet, spacious and comfortable for lounging and activity.
