Overview

About the property

5 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 12

Year-round getaway about an hour from New York City. Waterfront property with a dock for your boat or jet ski and you can cast your reel right from the yard for the many varieties of fish in Greenwood Lake. Great room with comfortable couches and dining table for six as well as a grand fireplace with candles for a cozy evening.

New furniture, beds, and appliances. Winter is great at Greenwood Lake with the Winter Carnival at Breezy Point, ice fishing on the lake, and skiing 10-20 minutes away at Mt Peter and Mountain Creek. Both offer snow tubing as well and Mountain Creek has zip lines, an alpine slide, and other summer activities.

Breezy Point (very good American/German food) is right next door and The Helm, recently opened, is a fantastic bar and grill just just a quarter mile down the road. A short walk or drive will get you to the village of Greenwood Lake for even more dining and entertainment options including the Summer concert series and events at Morahan Waterfront Park!

Are you visiting the area to shop? Do your shopping at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets and enjoy relaxing on the lake just 30 minutes away after a busy day of chasing deals.

For hunters, this is a great retreat to retire to after a day of hunting nearby Sterling Forrest. Enjoy the lodge like great room with a grand fireplace after a day in the woods.

About Bryan

After working together to buy a purchase and set up a vacation rental in Estes Park, Colorado, my Mother and I decided to look for a great getaway near NYC where Katie and I live. We really enjoy fixing up properties to make them a great experience for guests, friends, and family. We love NYC but also love getting away from it to enjoy hiking on the Appalachian Trail, kayaking, fishing, skiing, apple picking at the orchards, and the many other activities in and around Greenwood Lake. Check out our family's Black Canyon Chalet in Estes Park, Colorado as well! VRBO (VRBO Listing #/294590)

Why Bryan chose Hudson Valley

After 5 months of searching around Greenwood Lake, we knew we found something special when we walked into this place. We looked at many waterfront properties but none rivaled the dramatic view and feeling of being right on the lake that this property has. There is a top floor unit (this 3 bedroom listing) and a separate lower floor unit that share a beautiful lakefront yard and a dock. You can dock your boat or jet ski at the property and fish right from the front yard. We also love that you can walk to great restaurants like Breezy Point next door and The Helm just down the street, while the village and waterfront park is just a mile down the road. This is truly a special property that we love visiting and opening up for others to enjoy just as much.

What makes this house unique

Dock on property, beautiful lakefront yard, wraparound waterfront deck, and a short walk/drive to restaurants, the village, and Morahan Waterfront Park for concerts and events.

Great House in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

I just spent a long weekend here with my 4 cousins and our spouses and everyone left having a great time. No only does this house have everything you need (plus some) but the view is fantastic and the owner is great to work with. There's a town a mile or so down the road and there are many places for day trips just a short drive away. I highly recommend this house.

Greenwood Lake Family Trip

  • 5 of 5

So many great things can be said about this property. We enjoyed our stay at the end of December, all 10 of us! It is perfect for a large family. Everyone had a comfortable bed or pull out couch to crash. The 2 kitchens had everything you needed for large meals as well. The best part of the house was the location, it was very peaceful and stunning at the same time. This is also a bird watchers dream. We had many ducks visit everyday for coffee and throughout the day, as well as geese, gulls, and a majestic eagle! We would absolutely love to come back in the summer for fun on the lake! Thank you for welcoming our family to your beautiful home. The area has all the conveniences and NYC was about 90 minute ride. Brian, the owner responds quickly. We never had a reason to contact them while in the home.

Fantastic Place and Area

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a 20th Reunion at West Point. The drive to and from West Point was not bad at all (35 to 45 minutes). The area is beautiful and there were plenty of restaurants close by. The home itself was perfect for our group allowing us to have kids go to sleep in the lower suite while the adults stayed up a little later in the upper suite reminiscing about the old days. Wished we could have stayed longer and spent more time at the house, but our reunion weekend was very busy. Thanks for the great place. Hope we will be back to one of your 2 properties in the near future when we need another vacation :)

Awesome get away

  • 5 of 5

Our visit was fantastic! We loved the property. The trees were just starting to change colors. It was so beautiful. We woke up in the morning and literally could see fish jumping out of the water. We will be back! Great for families or a nice quiet get away. Neat town as well!!

Simple Solitude, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

From the hurried bustle of the busy city life, we walked threw the front gates to an wonderous quiet Solitude overlooking the calm waters of this lake view property.

My family can not wait to return. There is so much to do in the area we need to plan a longer stay.

Thank you, for the experience and we are so grateful we found this place. See you guys on the next trip to this great property.

Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Lakefront was a birthday gift for my husband who loves to fish. The house is situated by the lake, kayaks and life jackets were provided. The house is beautiful, big, close to restaurants and shopping. We loved the beautiful fireplace and spacious kitchen. It was like being home but with a spectacular view of the lake. We plan to return next August!!! Thank you Bryan. My sister, niece and her husband plan to join us.
