Spacious spotless villa
As we were just a couple, this villa had plenty of space for us. Yaiza is a good central location to explore the island from and it feels a more authentic experience than the tourist hot spots. One reviewer comments on the barking dogs. We noticed them too, as well as a cockerel but this is just part of country life and adds to the experience....as did the visiting doves and pigeons. We even enjoyed a fly past by hoopoes on a couple of days.
Our weather was mixed (the week began with a calima) and so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool as much as we would have liked but when we did we found it nice and warm. In February the pool is in shade from 3ish which was a shame.
We were disappointed that the garden had lost some of the bigger trees shown in the pictures and the terrace would benefit from a few more plants. The terrace to the rear of the house is a lovely space to catch the late afternoon sun with comfy seating and a view to the sea.
Inside the villa is very well equipped and the main bed is huge and comfortable. We slept very well indeed. We did find the house quite dark in the evening and could have done with some more lights. The Tv is only Spanish channels but that didn’t bother us as we don’t tend to watch it!
All in all this was a good trip, the villa isn’t cheap but I guess that’s the price you pay for a larger villa with a heated pool. We would happily come here again.
Lovely property, looks just like the photos. Yaiza is a beautiful quiet Spanish village and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The only downside is the noise from the neighbours dog kennels. They are tied up most of the day and as you would expect bark constantly whenever they are disturbed by passersby - humans, cats and other dogs. As long as you can cope with this noise then you will have a fabulous holiday. Website should really advise you of this before you book.
A Beautiful Villa
A beautiful villa in the stunning villa of Yaiza. The Villa has everything you need and Andrew is extremely helpful yet unobtrusive.
I would definitely recommend and look to stay again in the future.
Dear Mark, Thank you for your kind words, we look forward to seeing you again in the future. Regards Andrew
Lovely villa in a lovely village
This villa is a great place to stay in a village but handy for all the resort's and national park in the south of the island.
We had a great stay making use of the pool and outside areas enjoying BBQ and watching the sun sets.
Thank you very much for your review, I hope to see you coming back in the future.
Superb Villa in Excellent Location
Wow, what a great villa. It is as fabulous as it looks in the photos. Very clean, comfortable and all mod cons that gives you a perfect base to experience the island. Very peaceful location but in easy reach of Playa Blanca, Puerto De Carmen, El Golfo and is right beside the National Park.
The owner, Andy, is very helpful and was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.
I would highly recommend this villa as it really made our holiday
Perfect for a stay in Lanzarote
Really good villa, all mod cons and very well presented and laid out. Somewhere for your car, nice and quiet but walking distance to Yaiza amenities. Bedrooms bathrooms all very good and a lovely comfy lounge area. Loads of outside space and a very pleasant little pool. Andy is great, helpful and unobtrusive and obviously looks after his place really well.
If you want to discover Lanzarote you couldn't be better placed. Yaiza has a decent shop and some nice restaurants but from here you can reach almost everywhere easily. If you experience 24 degrees of sun in early February like we did then head to Papagayo beach (avoid half of the dirt road by going via the new eastern edge of Playa Blanca). Stunning fresh fish at El Golfo or Playa Quemada. Go and see ALL the Manrique sites, and make sure you take the coach tour around the national park volcano area. Great cycling round here as well.
Couldn't recommend this villa for a stay in Lanzarote enough.
In the quietest area of Yaiza, near the sports center on the edge of Timanfaya National Park, very well located and thus constitutes a good starting point for visiting the main attractions of the island, just 10 minutes by car from the Puerto Calero Marina, Playa Quemada, Playa Blanca, Marina Rubicon, the Papagayo beaches, National Park Timanfaya and the unique wineries of La Geria and the wonderfull fishing village of El Golfo, known for its traditional fish restaurants.
Golf: Lanzarote has an attractive new golf course in Puerto del Carmen. There is an 18 hole golf course, par 72 with four par 3s, four par 5s and 10 par 4 and is 6133m long. The golf course has been designed so that all players can enjoy, regardless of their handicaps, the game, thanks to its wide fairways and greens large. Golf Course Design Lanzarote was designed by the North American designer Ron Kirby, Project Manager of Jack Nicklaus. The place was fitted into the existing landscape, allowing the typically idyllic landscape of Lanzarote can be maintained with the caracteristischen brown stone walls. Thanks to Lanzarote's unique climate, year-round spring-like weather, you can play golf 365 days a year.
