The Plantation is a striking Mediterranean-style private condominium situated on a hill overlooking the Andaman Sea. Located one kilometer from the small town of Kamala on a winding road along the cliff that ends a couple of kilometers into the hills, the area has acquired the sobriquet of “The Millionaires Mile”.

There is a small beach just below the condominium and a large beach at Kamala Village which slopes gently into the Andaman Sea. There are many restaurants, banks, grocery stores, and other facilities within walking distance. The tourist towns, other beaches, golf courses, marinas, water sports, and a host of other activities are not far, but not too near, by car or motorcycle.

The apartment is closer to the top of the condominium’s middle block which affords an expansive and commanding view of the sea. It is generously-sized (242 sqm), sunny and bright. The glass sliding doors to the large terrace disappear into wall pockets, creating a sense of openness and doubling of the space. The terrace is eminently suitable for small children and toddlers to play unattended while the rest of the family can take in the sun or read in the shaded portion, or watch the ever-changing colors of the sea, the sky, the sunset, and the stars at night.

There are two bedrooms furnished with Asian and Western furniture, closets. The airy en-suite bathrooms have double sinks and rain showers. The main bedroom has a king-sized bed and an open-air bath with hot and cold water in an outside terrace. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a little rock garden outside the bathroom.

The study, with a sliding wooden partition, serves as a third bedroom, and has a convertible leather sleep sofa, and attached half-bathroom. It opens to the terrace and overlooks the sea. It also serves as a study with a desk, computer, and books.

The open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen take full advantage of the spectacular, uninterrupted sea views. Cable TV and Internet-wi-fi are available in the apartment. There is a flat screen TV monitor, and a DVD/CD player. There are DVD movies, games and books. Wireless internet is also available in the condominium lounge by the swimming pool. The apartment is fully furnished with modern indoor and outdoor furniture. Each area has its own air-conditioning.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric range, microwave oven, toaster, coffee-maker and refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, flat-ware and utensils.

There is a separate laundry room with a washer and a drier.

The common facilities include a long swimming pool ideal for laps, with an enormous deck, a gym with state-of-the-art equipment, and a lounge. There are three "salas" (gazebos) near the pool for aerobics and socializing.

The development enjoys complete privacy and is tastefully landscaped and well-maintained by a top international property management company. There is 24 hour security and ample parking. Cleaning and linen change is weekly. Additional service may be available as well.

Spacious and modern, fully equipped with a kitchen, roomy living/dining, and 2 bedrooms with king size beds and individual bathrooms, and a study area that can be converted into a kids bedroom. The best part - a view that is just to die for...

We rented a car and it was an easy 10 minute drive to Surin beach, or, alternatively, bang Tao (15-20 minutes). Kamala beach is within walking distance, though we enjoyed Surin Beach so much that we didn't have a chance to try Kamala. Grocery stores and market nearby, so no problem to get equipped for breakfast. Good restaurants for dinner are within walking distance. Our host showed exceptional hospitality and took extra steps to ensure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay (late check out? No problem.) we will definitely come back!

Hard as I try, I cannot find a bad word to say against this property. The location is sublime. The surroundings perfect and the Host was excellent. Everything is laid on, just arrive with your suitcase. Nearby supermarkets are plentiful. 2 beaches within 5 minutes walk. Spectacular views. Great facilities. Rent a car to make the most of visiting Phuket. But a motorbike is sufficient if you plan on staying in Kamala only. The town has plenty of bars and restaurants without being too touristic. A great place to get away from it all whilst still having the ability to visit Patong if you need to party. Best vacation rental I've had.

Sehr freundlicher Vermieter. Alles sauber. wir waren rundum zufrieden und werden dieses Apartement bestimmt wieder mieten wenn wir in Thailand Ferien machen.

Angaben vom Vermieter stimmen zu 100%.

Zur schönen Kamela Beach sind es 10- 15 Minuten zu Fuss.

“The Plantation B5. Superb Location. Fantastic Apartment and Host”

We actually stayed in Apartment B5, owned by the same Host. But B11 is much the same I understand. Just closer to the sea. We stayed for 10 nights. Arriving late in the evening. The Host had already made arrangements for key collection and also arranged for a breakfast package to be in the apartment (we paid for this separately). The drive from the airport took approximately 40 minutes. Kamala is a small seaside town, 10 minutes drive north of Patong and the same south from Surin/Laguna. Directions to The Plantation were good. I found it easily using my phone's Satnav. It is just before the Hyatt Regency Resort. The apartment itself is very nicely furnished and came with everything you could possibly need. Fully equipped western kitchen, oven, filter coffee machine, washer & dryer, all bed linen and towels, showers have shampoo and soap. Attention to detail was great. Even the BBQ on the terrace was stocked with charcoal and lighters. You really could just arrive with your luggage and settle straight in. The terrace is huge. With BBQ, 2 sun loungers, table and chairs. A lovely place to sit in the evening taking in the sea breeze and listening to the waves. But the real treat comes in the morning. The view is stunning. No more than 100 metres from the surf. There are 2 great beaches within 5 minutes walk. The surf is pretty strong so be careful swimming! WiFi (6mbps) and True Cable tv are provided. As was a Guest Computer which was very useful. Access to the parking lot and Clubhouse level at the top of the development is via stairs and lift. The Clubhouse features a BBQ area with 3 Salas with fans. Well equipped gym and large pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. There is also WiFi access around this area. The entire site is very well cared with pristine gardens. Two staff are onsite during office hours and are happy to assist with everything from blocked toilets to sightseeing tips. The Pool is 1.5 metres deep, so make sure you pack a swim vest or armbands for younger kids. We took the opportunity to teach our 3 year old to swim without these. Kamal itself is a small seaside town. Home to some very expensive beach front properties and high end resorts, "The Millionaires Mile". The town itself has plenty of 7/11's a Big C open to 23:00 and Tesco Express open 24/7. For more Western tastes there is Villa Supermarket in Laguna. The nearest 7/11 is only a 5 minute walk past some very nice properties. Lots of little bars and restaurants in the town. From Street Food to English Breakfasts. Indian Curry's to Italian and French Cuisine. All reasonably priced. Don't miss the Phuket Fantasea show and Camp Chang Kalim elephant trekking! I would recommend a car. The hillside location means the climb up the hill is very steep. Driving in Phuket is an interesting experience with so many motorbikes around. But no worse than driving in any large city. Thais generally are courteous drivers. There are plenty of sightseeing opportunities towards the south of the Island and the north remains peaceful and largely undeveloped. All in all we had a wonderful stay and we are looking forward to returning soon. Pictures and words cannot do the place justice!

I rented the apartment for myself, a friend and my son, who stayed once or twice for nine days. It is well equipped and the two bedrooms have king size beds and en suite bathrooms. There is a study with a day bed which suited my son on the very few occasions that he stayed. We lived outside on the terrace which is partially covered and didn't use the dining table or the lounge. The website gives a very accurate description of the apartment. The swimming pool is very clean and usually quiet; there is a gym (which we didn't use) and a dayroom. It is possible to rent a barbecue at a cost of 450 B. We didn't have our own transport but walked into Kamala most mornings and evenings. Upscale. The Plantation is close but not too close to everything holiday makers want. Sleepy Kamala town is less than a mile away, on a gently sloping road to beach half a mile long. Great for early morning meditation or a sunset swim. The town has everything --from large grocery store, to banks, restaurants, and low-key bars where regulars hang out. Other tourists attractions are at arm's length but minutes away. Walk to many resutaurants for fine dining and casual meals.

Nice neighbors. Good owners' committee, immaculate and professional management. Safe, secure and private.

The Plantation is a short distance from the usual tourist activities and the condominium and the apartment themselves provide an environment for relaxation, exercise, swimming in quiet seclusion. There are many restaurants within walking distance for fine dining and enjoying seaview.The Fantasea Extravaganza a mile down the main road is a big tourist attraction and children love it. There are three hash runs every week all of which are great fun.
