This light and airy villa offers roomy self-catering accommodation in a rural location. The inside living space is open plan with dining room, sitting room and kitchen areas. There are 4 good sized bedrooms, two double and two twin – especially good for two families. There are two bathrooms one with shower, and one with bath and shower. (These are being renovated as we speak - Jan 2015 so will be lovely and new for this summer).
Outside you will find numerous places to relax or entertain yourselves: a lovely dining terrace next to built in barbecue, overlooking an almond grove; a brand new covered chill out area and terrace by the private pool; landscaped mature gardens; an undercover games area including table tennis; swings for children; and a large upstairs terrace with hammock offering stunning views. The house is tastefully furnished with inside and outside seating for eight.
Beaches: The villa is close to many fantastic beaches including Cala Tarida, Cala Moli, Cala Vedella, Cala Carbo and Cala D'Hort, however the closest beaches to the property are Cala Tarida and Cala Moli.
Cala Tarida is a large, sandy, family beach that offers a range of restaurants and bars, as well as water sports including waterskiing, banana boating, pedallos and scuba diving.
Cala Moli is a more secluded cove with a good reputation for snorkelling and a couple of nice restaurants.
Eating and drinking: There is a lovely restaurant/bar within 200 metres of the property, along a private track, which is both reasonably priced and popular with locals and holiday-makers alike.
Within very easy driving distance there is also a good pizza restaurant that offers a take out service, a lovely steak restaurant, the village of San Jose that has numerous places to eat and drink, as well as numerous beach side bars and restaurants with stunning views along the coastline.
We are a family of 4 who bought the villa in order to be able to have regular holidays away taking family and friends. We wanted our kids to be able to look back on summers with their cousins, and have now spent a couple of weeks or so every summer with my brother and his kids out there.
Lizzie Fryers purchased this villa in 2007
We loved the view, the sense of freedom / peacefulness from being up in the hills, surrounded by orchards and forest, whilst having very easy driving access to great beaches and lovely villages.
The restaurant at the end of the driveway is wonderful - we have become great friends with the people who run it.
We had the most fabulous holiday in your lovely Ibiza home. There was one problem only....leaving...two weeks was not enough!
We felt very spoilt by the location, some of the views of distant mountains were breath taking given that we were just up the road from numerous pretty beaches. Then the cherry on the top was the fantastic restaurant at the bottom of the drive which seemed to emerge out of no where!
The villa was so fresh and light and spacious that there was more than enough room with seven of us there. The new swimming pool and chill out area are a real bonus but the best addition has to be the fabulous four poster day bed at the end of the pool....a real sanctuary!
So a big thank you once again!

Mine and two other families stayed here. A total of ten people the first week, then 9, the second. kIds ages ranged form 3 to 9. It is a wonderful setting, nearby to so many great beaches (but then everything is relatively close in Ibiza) - even Benirras (a beach we really wanted to keep going back to) is only up the road 30 or so minutes. We stayed in the height of summer, and though hot down in the valley of San Josep in the day, was very berarable by the villa, in the hills, with a wonderful breeze to take the bite out of the heat.
None of us ever felt crowded out. The villa, inside and out is spaceous. Generous. And the views, are gorgeous. In fact the spot has a wonderful character to it. Rural. Calm. It's very easy to just let the kids run and play and you loaf around with the other adults eating, drinking and coming down off London's speed of light. We really think we got great value for money to be honest. All mod cons were available in the villa - including a dishwasher! - and we all felt that we found a home from home. The kids could play without you feeling anxious that things would break or come away in their hands. Clearly the owners have children too. That said, I did wishfully imagine what it would be like to just come away without them. Only the once....or twice. And get my raving boots back on! I suspect this spot would be ideal for whichever Ibizan experience you choose. A great restaurant at the end of the road. Ibiza town 25 minutes up the road, the cute San Josep 5 minutes down the road. And the remarkable Cala D'Hort - a must see beach with restaurant. The kids loved skinny dipping there, in the surf, at night. Lovely. We will certainly be going back. 5 stars. Without a shadow. Oh, and all the kids loved the lizards. And we don't think the pics on the site do it justice. It's even better in the bricks and mortar. So to speak.
7 of us were staying in the villa for a week to celebrate my partners birthday, there is ample space and the location of the villa is perfect, very secluded, just what we wanted! We didn't want to hire a car as we would be drinking most of the time, just the odd one or two of course!, this worked perfeclty, we would call San Jose taxi's just as we were leaving the villa and by time we had walked to S'Espartar the taxi would be there, depending on the time of course. Taxi's to San antonio and Airport all cost approximately 20 euros.
The outside space is very private and enjoys the sun from about 11am until dusk.
There is a very handy Spar within walking distance, we did a big supermarket shop in San Jose at the beginning of the week and managed with the Spar for the rest of the week, great fruit and veg selection too.
The restaurant at the end of the villas track "S'Espartar" is great and I would really recommend you eat here, try to get a table enjoying views, they are breathtaking.
We had a fabulous holiday and all 7 of us would come back again, definately agree with the other feedback, a week is not long enough!
One thing if do plan on walking up and down the villas track I advise you pack a torch, the track is not illumiated.
The house is found in a rural setting between the pretty village of San Jose (5 mins= drive) and Cala Tarida beach (3 mins= drive). It is also within 15 minutes drive of the airport, San Antonio and Ibiza Town. It benefits from an excellent restaurant and bar within 200m.
Other Activities: table tennis.
