A great place to stay in a great location
This apartment was just right for my kids and me for our nearly week-long stay in Salt Lake City.
The things we loved:
-The apartment was clean and laid out in an intuitive, functional manner.
-My kids loved the toys, books, and games tucked away in one of the cabinets.
-The location is great! It's in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything we wanted: Around the corner from a playground, less than a half-mile to groceries and two restaurants, just a little farther to the 220 bus stop, which takes you downtown or to the Red Line TRAX station, about a mile down the hill and you're in 9th and 9th, and only two miles to the zoo, Red Butte Garden, the natural history museum, and Liberty Park (which we walked, but you wouldn't have to). There's also easy access to the highway, if your adventures take you farther afield.
-Sara is very responsive. Whenever we had questions or needs in the apartment, I just texted her and she responded very quickly.
It wasn't perfect, but all of the negatives had solutions. For example, as other reviewers have mentioned, you can hear the host family (and host dog) moving around in the house above, but the white noise machine and the fans that are provided take care of that problem. We also got a little cold with the a/c (no separate climate control in the apartment, and we're not used to a/c), but we opened the window and that evened out the temperature for us.
We had a great time during our stay, and we would definitely stay in this apartment again!
Charming and perfectly located.
Great location with charm, charm, charm. We enjoyed walks around the area, breakfast at Eggs in the City and dinner at Sea Salt. Next time we'll bring our bikes.
This basement apartment was perfect for us. The neighborhood is very pretty, and we felt very safe even walking at night. We had at least 6 different Uber drivers and they all said "I love this neighborhood, a really great area of the city."
Great Value! Clean and Comfortable!
It was the perfect location for us and so much better than staying at a hotel. Comfortable and has everything you need!
Very nice place, the neighborhood is beautiful and the hosts are very friendly.
This apt is downstairs in a single family home. Owner is very nice but with 2 young children and a dog it was too noisy for me. Also no control of heating and cooling. Checked out after 2 nights
My sincere apologies for the noise. Previous guests haven't voiced much concern, so I was not aware of the issue. During your stay, my children were home from school due to the break and our upstairs area rugs (which absorb noise) were removed for cleaning. I assume this magnified the transfer of sound.
I have also added a high-quality white noise machine in the bedroom, which seems to solve any early morning issues.
