Mountain Moose...An alpine getaway…and a short drive from downtown Fairbanks!
Colleen is a fantastic host. She's super friendly and full of great information. The house is so comfortable and inviting! We spent most of our time looking at the views, reading, cooking and relaxing. I would highly recommend this wonderful property. We had a lovely time!
I did a lot of searching before booking this and I was super pleased when we got there and all through our stay. Last minute my sister and brother in law decided to join us for their only true vacation in 48 years of marriage. Because of the 3 bedrooms it worked perfectly, was a great location and offered super amenities. HIGHLY recommend Colleen and her property. Jim V. Utah
It was only my husband and I on this trip and this house was really more than we needed, but it sounded just like what we wanted. We liked the fact that it was out of town and in such a beautiful setting in the woods on the side of the mountain. The view was fantastic and I could have spent more time sitting on the deck enjoying it had the weather cooperated. The house is very comfortable, well appointed, and the owner has tried to provide everything you could possibly need while you're there. We like to explore during the day and then come back to the house at night to relax and do our own food. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything including some spices, condiments, and coffee creamer! It was great since you just can't take your own stock when you fly. Colleen was a very gracious hostess offering to help us in any way to make our stay a pleasant one. I would highly recommend this home. Loved the dogs!!
The house had plenty of room, very creatively decorated. We enjoyed our stay. I really enjoyed meeting Colleen. She was very friendly and helpful with our questions.
Thanks Colleen, if we are ever in Fairbanks, Alaska again, we hope to stay at your place again.

There were nine of us for a family wedding in Fairbanks. If you've never been to Fairbanks, pretty much where ever you are is "20 minutes away." Colleen's place is about 20 minutes away from the University, from the REI, from most restaurants, from the Mushers Hall ... all the key cultural spots. Nine adults made it somewhat cozy, but six or seven adults with a child or two would be just right. Colleen is friendly. The house is well-equipped. Nice kitchen. Wi-fi is good. Direct TV is a plus. Dogs are friendly. Washer-dryer. Two showers. Three bathrooms. There is a stretch of dirt/gravel road approaching the house, so a four-wheeler is helpful, but not necessary. We recommend it highly. As for the key questions: it is very clean and well-maintained. Colleen is friendly and helpful, a retired school teacher.
Colleen was great at making us feel right at home throughout our stay. The house and service were great, my only complaint is that it is not actually "minutes" from Fairbanks. It was probably about a 25-30 minute drive, we opted to not rent cars and had no trouble getting cabs to and from the house. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
