Two bedroom two bath home with office located just blocks from downtown and 1 block East of Boston Hill walking trails. Fantastic 624 square foot deck right off the kitchen faces East provides covered parking for your vehicle.
Both bedrooms have a King size natural latex mattress with adjustable firmness down and synthetic comforters, reading light, lowboy chest of drawers, closet and ceiling fan with light. Master bath has 20" deep soaking tub/shower with grab bars; second bath has 30" shower. Both baths have exhaust fans and plenty of LED lighting and on-demand heater assures plenty of warm water.
The office is 11'x11' and equipped with a desk, bookcase a 2' X 2' LED ceiling light, great for reading or crafting.
The kitchen has a new Bosch 36" ceramic cook top, convection wall oven and dishwasher. Full size refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, drip coffee maker, electric water kettle, French press, coffee grinder, blender for those special drinks and hand mixer for late night cookies are all at your disposal. Quiet front loading washer and dryer are in the large kitchen area.
Dining area has table and chairs for 4 people with a large window looking North to the Pinos Altos mountain range. The living room has a 48" HDTV including a sound bar with Bluetooth for your portable music device. Love seat, 2 reclining leather chairs, storage ottoman, end tables and coat/umbrella stand.
The large patio has a stainless steel 5 burner natural gas grill, 4 person table and chairs, 9' umbrella and 2 star gazing lounge chairs. From the patio you can see Cooks Peak 35 miles to the Southeast, the hills overlooking Bayard, New Mexico 8 miles to the East and the Pinos Altos mountain range 8 miles to the North.
Under the patio is covered parking for two vehicles or 4 motorcycles and space for bicycles. A stairway from the patio leads to your covered parking below. If stairs are a problem you can enter the home through the front door by walking up the driveway.
The homes has all new thermal, horizontal slider windows on each side of the house and in each room, 11 windows total. They provide great natural light, ventilation and soundproofing from outside noise. Black out drapes or shades for each window ensure your afternoon siesta.
Heating and cooling is provided by a very quiet whole house refrigeration and gas furnace. City water is filtered, softened and the on-demand water heater ensure your soaking bath will be full and hot. Comcast HD cable/Hi-speed WiFi internet also included.
Floor finishes: wood floating floor in kitchen and dining area, wall to wall carpet in bedrooms and vinyl in bathrooms.

Why Joe Hutto chose Silver City
Location, location, location, we are very close to downtown Silver City and 200 feet from Boston Hill open space. Boston Hill gives us an early sunset in the Winter(40 minutes) but calms spring winds significantly. Silver City has perfect climate, most of the year we eat or drink outside once a day in great weather. We are 80' higher than downtown, which makes us a little warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. It is very easy to walk downtown and a little harder returning home, at 6000' of elevation, if you live below 2000' you will notice a difference.

A Wonderful Month at 207 S. Cooper Street
This rental home was great! We have rented many different houses over the last five years. I told Joe this one is at “the top of the heap.” I probably can’t add much more than what other people have already said in previous reviews, but I will try.
This is a two bedroom home, each one featuring a very comfortable king-sized bed with a high quality, comfortable mattress. Each bedroom has its own bath, one with a walk-in shower, the other with a great tub-shower combo. There is a third room that is set aside as an office space. Lots of extra towels and linens were in the linen closet. The kitchen is practically laid out with many high-end appliances and lots of counter space. If you are staying for a prolonged period, the washer and dryer are a great convenience. Just about every gadget you might want is in the gadget drawer. No mix of old garage sale dishware here…just plain common sense tableware , bowls, pots, pans and utensils. A large round dining table with a “lazy Susan” easily seats six in a spacious dining area. The living room is also spacious with two sturdy leather recliners and a firm sofa with pull-out bed if needed. The large smart TV (48”?) includes a high quality sound bar. Cable service is generous and includes HBO. The large back patio was great for sunning. It is fitted out with a sturdy table, four chairs and shade umbrella. There were also two good quality chaise lounges…something we have never encountered at a rental before. Although we didn’t use it, there was also a large propane grill. In short, everything furnished with this rental was of high quality.
In regards to the owner, Joe…you couldn’t find a nicer, more practical, down-to-earth guy with a great sense of humor. He responds to requests promptly and does his best to accommodate. We thoroughly enjoyed our many discussions.
We will certainly rent 207 S. Cooper Street again because Silver City keeps bringing us back year after year.

FYI, the couch is firm but not a hide-a-bed. But is long enough for a siesta.
Joe is a great host and the home cold not be better equipped nor more comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to renting agin.
Large rooms, lots of space to move around. The kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances and is stocked with everything anybody could possibly need. The beds are comfortable, the deck is wonderful for sitting in the sun. A short walk into town, and there are so many opportunities for hiking in the area. We would definitely come again.

My husband and two nieces were visiting my brothers in Silver City. This was exactly what we were looking for. The two bedrooms, both with king-sized beds, and two bathrooms were perfect for us. We also wanted a space where we could have a family dinner. The kitchen was well equipped, I even made pies! The neighborhood is lovely, it is a five minute walk to historic downtown, so the location was great. I can't recommend it enough, and Joe is a great host.
We are located within the original boundary of Silver City as granted by the United States of America, New Mexico was only a territory at the time. Our neighborhood has been in the process of restoration over the past 20 years as new owners invest in their homes. Most of the homes in the neighborhood are 60 to 110 years of age. Downtown is 8 blocks away and Boston Hill open space is 200 feet away.
