Done Camping Lodge is licensed to accommodate six guests and is located on Placid Lake, a small private lake connected to a chain of lakes known as The Tiger Cat Flowage.

You will feel like you are away from it all in this home because you are surrounded by nature, Yet you can drive less than 12 miles and be right down town Hayward.

This home has all the amenities you want in a vacation home. Fully loaded kitchen, no need to pack your favorite cooking gadgets..this home has them, ; blender,Keurig coffee pot and regular coffee pot, griddle, spices, list goes on.

WiFi, Roku, Wii for those unexpected rainy days.

This rental is licensed for six guests. There are Three beautifully decorated bedrooms, two located on the lower level off of the great room. A queen bed and a king bed awaits you in the lower level bedrooms. A queen bed is located on the upper level with its own private deck. All bedrooms and living areas have flat screen T.v.s....though at this rental, you will be watching more outdoor activity that nature has to offer than anything.

You will also enjoy the large outside deck off the kitchen overlooking the lake along with the screened in porch with plenty of room to eat in when weather is not at its summer
best. There is a Paddle boat for your use.

Also you can inquire about renting the small pontoon this home has and tootle around the connecting lakes while your here.

This home is clean, up to date in technology and is located on a nice chain of lakes.

A perfect week

The consensus from everyone in our party was that your home was perfect. Clean, well stocked and beautiful. We really appreciated all of the extra touches. The S’more bowl, the cord that you placed out for me to use for the boat, the painted rocks in the yard, Joe personally showing me where the boat launch is and giving me tips on fishing Placid Lake. BTW, the fishing was great! We will be back next year.

Done camping lodge

Our family of 6 enjoyed our time at the lodge. It is truly a special place that the owners have put a lot of thought in to! The entire property is a true pleasure to experience. Julie was always responsive to any questions we had and we look forward to our next visit! The Nelsons

Beautiful,peaceful home

We loved our stay at Done Camping. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and more. Julie was quick to answer any questions we had. We caught a lot of small fish and even two Muskies. There were no bugs at all. We will definitely stay here again.

Summer 2023 Family Vacation

We had a great vacation at this beautiful property. The pictures of the house and lake front represent reality. The host is very welcoming and easy to contact. The house was comfortable and had plenty of living space when all 6 of us were together, but also enough room to have individual spaces as well. The fishing was also pretty good! We would definitely go back to Done Camping Lodge.

Joe and I camped on this land since 1992. Our goal was to build our dream home after the kids were done with school. We had many years of camping and imagining where the house would be, how the floor plan would be. in 2005 the plans were final and in 2006, we were done camping. We decided to make the move from Elkhorn Wi to Hayward in 2006. Grandchildren fill our lives now and we tend to travel more to see them and the rest of the family, leaving this home for you to enjoy!
We do stay here in the winter months. It is as beautiful here in the winter as it is in the summer, a little more quiet, for sure. Though this chain of lakes is very quiet, anyway. Most of the hustle and bustle is on the Chippewa flowage. That is not what we wanted, we wanted seclusion, but not too far from town. We wanted wildlife, nature and that's what we got. Bears roamed here when we built and that's when we decided not to build stairs going from the deck down to the lake because they could come up the stairs and meet you for coffee in the morning, uninvited. Our home is your home for a week, two weeks or a month. We will continue to rent until we downsize as age creeps in. Enjoy yourselves

Why they chose this property

When Joe was a child, he vacationed up here with his family. I vacationed on the eastern part of the up north. When we married, we decided to come up here because he had great fishing memories. We bought this property because it is on a quite chain of lakes with much nature to watch. Our children came up here and camped with us every summer until we "ruined their camp ground "with the building of the home.
We looked at numerous pieces of land. This lot was being divided off of the home located to the west of us. The price was right, the slope to the lake was right, the view was right and the rest is history.

What makes this property unique

The uniqueness of this home is the quietness . Sometimes it's so quite, you lay in bed just waiting to hear something. You don't need curtains because the trees hide you from view. On a clear night,You can sit in th living room with all the lights off and look at the stars through the windows. You can enjoy the huge fire pit every night with camp fires. It's romantic, it's quite, it's nature.
