Why Owner/Property Manager chose Libby

We have family that settled in this area 2 generations ago. We enjoy the distinct seasons and the variety of activities that these seasons offer.

What makes this cabin unique

Cabin is located on the banks of the Kootenai River where you can sit on the back deck watching and listening to the river flow as well as being able to look around to mountain views. Great Cabin, Great People Great Town

  • 5 of 5

This is the second year we have stayed at Randy and Charlotte's cabin. They are wonderful people. The cabin is beautiful, clean and sits on the bank of the Kootenai River. Big horn sheep and deer wander through the yard. Wild turkeys populate the fields alongside the road as you drive toward the cabin. Eagles and Osprey fly over the river. Occasionally fishermen drift by on the river. All and all a peaceful, quiet piece of heaven.

Owner's Response: We are thrilled to hear this couple enjoys the cabin and the area enough to return for a second trip and hopefully many more. We get great joy out sharing this peace of heaven.

Such a great place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend with our kids. The cabin is quaint, but spacious. It was very thoughtfully designed to make the most of the space. The decor was rustic and fun. We had everything we needed to cook our own meals, and entertain the kids. We loved our walks down by the river, and just sitting and drinking a cup of coffee on the deck, in the mornings. We had everything we needed here. The hosts were very friendly and called to make sure everything g was perfect. We would definitely book here again. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin.

Perfect cabin next to the river!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at the cabin during our spring bear hunt.

Charlotte and Randy were very attentive to our needs and their communication was excellent.

TV and WiFi worked perfectly for communicating down the river.

We will DEFINITELY be staying here again!

Wonderful and relaxing just like the pictures!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first VRBO rental and wasn’t sure what to expect. But what a treat over the ordinary motel! This is a wonderful cabin and just like the pictures that represent it! You can’t go wrong staying here. There is a lot of widlife, we saw big horned sheep, deer, wild turkeys and eagles. We stayed in May and the river was running fast with the run off from the mountains. Owners were great and available if needed next door. We have family in the area, it was nice to visit them but have our own quiet place too. We will most definitely check to see if it is available when we go back to that area.

Very clean & located on the river!

  • 5 of 5

The home is beautiful & nicely decorated. The owners were so nice & helpful. The train was a little loud for my wife but she is a very light sleeper. We saw Bighorn Sheep & deer every day near the cabin!! We slept in the bedroom on the right & the bed was very comfortable.

Very Enjoyable

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a month. The cabin was great. I would recommend the cabin to anyone who like being out of town and without the town traffic. We loved seeing the trains go by and the 11pm passenger train was a treat, if you stay up that late which we did only once. There was not any noise or distractions from the road or train. Really enjoyed the trains. Lots of wild life there: sheep, deer, moose but we did not see a bear. Good fishing right out in front of the cabin.

Would recommend this cabin to anyone, beautiful inside and well equipped.

In addition to the hiking, biking, and water activities you can see the local wildlife as they stroll through the cabin property - big horn sheep graze in the yard quite frequently as well as white tail deer and wild turkeys. Ducks, geese, and bald eagles frequent the shores of the river. Black bears occasionally feast on our apple trees and moose might quench their thirst in the river.
