About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 4, South West facing balcony, near the Old Port

Looking for a romantic holiday in a wonderful two bedroomed apartment located in an Art Deco building? The building is situated in a very tranquil, leafy area in Nice near the Port. You can relax having a meal on the balcony, or simply watch the sun go down as you gaze out to sea. The view is spectacular in the evening as well with the lights from Nice twinkling in all directions. The apartment is on the third floor of an elevator building and will comfortably accommodate 4. A folding door opens from one of the bedrooms to enlarge the living room. The beautiful Italian kitchen is fully equipped. It is only a short walk to Coco Beach - a favourite of the locals. The Port of Nice is a five minute walk away. The Promenade des Anglais and the Old Town of Nice with its famous antique and flower markets are approximately fifteen minutes walk. Street car parking is available.

The reason we have specified that children are not allowed is just that although we love to have children to stay in our apartment, the balcony is made of wrought iron with gaps and spaces and I would feel anxious that it might not be very safe for a very active small child but older children should be absolutely fine.

Understated elegance with a stunning balcony view

  • 5 of 5

We loved this perfect, characterful and elegant flat. It hasn't been spoiled and remains simple yet sophisticated. The view is the highlight and we spent many happy hours on the balcony before ambling to the beach. Classical concerts and edgy art exhibitions enhanced the stay. Position: very central to the interesting and less tourist Port area. We loved it and hope to come again.

Stunning location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our two kids last July and loved every minute of it. The apartment was fantastic - classic French Riviera living and the view of the bay is incredible!

There was plenty of space for us (and my bike!) in the apartment even though it was hard to resist spending most of our time there on the balcony!

The bus stop being located literally at the front door of the apartments gives you really easy options to travel anywhere around and outside the City - and removes any need to hire a car. The location is also a short walk to the piers and the prom. We also enjoyed a 2 minute walk to a small sheltered beach.

We loved our stay here and could not recommend it highly enough as a place to stay.

I've already booked it again for 2017!

Absolutely ticks all the boxes

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for two weeks in July and it surpassed expectations! Spitting distance from the beach and it was so easy to get around. We had hired a car but once we knew we could walk out the door and hop on a bus directly to all the prime locations (Central Nice, The Port, Cap Ferrari, Ville Franche, Monaco and so on) for €2 we cancelled the car. It was also equipped with all the gear you need for the beach/days out.

The area is fantastic and you are spoilt for choice with where to eat and what to do. The house notes are really thorough and informed with some great recommendations.

Last but not least... THE balcony! I won't do it justice... it's impossible to capture the serenity and peace of this little spot.. you will need to go visit and enjoy it for yourself. You won't be sorry

Balcony views to live for!

  • 5 of 5

Spacious, well appointed apartment with high ceilings and great balcony views. One bedroom and two comfortable sofa beds that can be used as three separate bedrooms. A great location, a short walk from the port, bus stops outside the building. A short stroll to local shops in one direction and a large supermarket in the other. An excellent base to enjoy all that Nice has to offer whilst avoiding the crowds. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

perfect for between-season

  • 5 of 5

Your apartement was just perfect for our stay, which was half holiday half business trip. Took us one day to sort things out in Nice (e.g. most of the non-touristic restaurants are closed on sunday), but with all the info from folder in the living room and the perfect working Wifi, and with a little help from Cathy we got around perfectly. Would always recommend the apt. for this season. all the best for the rest of the year, and further on, from freezing bavaria, andreas 2015-11-27 16:18 GMT+01:00 Maureen McCormack :

Amazing View

  • 5 of 5

We have just come back from a wonderful 6 days in Nice staying at Maureen apartment. Right from our first contact she was most helpful answering all our questions and her comprehensive guide to the apartment and Nice was invaluable. We recommend taxi to and from the airport unless you are a brave driver! (circa 40 Euros each way). Indeed the apartment was delightful and we spent hours on the balcony just looking at the ever moving view. The weather was superb and Nice has so much to see and offer for you to explore on foot or just a bus ride away. The Old Town is indeed something special. A return trip is seriously being considered.

The apartment is located in a very tranquil residential area in Nice, yet everything from the beach to good restaurants, the market and shops are within easy walking distance. Public transport is frequent and nearby. At the front of the building on Boulevard Carnot you can catch a bus for a very scenic ride to Villefranche, Eze sur Mer and Monaco. The train station (Riquier) is a 20 minute walk away. The local beach is very near but if you prefer to venture further, you can take a very pleasant walk to the Promenade des Anglais and be swimming in the Baie des Anges in 20 minutes. There are a range of activities from sailing to diving for the sea lover but if you choose to come in the winter, skiing is available within a 2 hour drive. If you're looking for culture there is a modern art gallery in Nice along with Musees de Chagall and de Matisse. The jazz festival in July is a very exciting occasion with lots of international artists performing.

Other Activities: Monaco Grand Prix 24-27 May, Cannes Film Festival 16-27 May, Sacred Music Festival 16-24 June, Jazz Festival in July, Art Galleries, Carnival

This is an Art Deco building. All the ceilings are high which lends itself to a a great feeling of spaciousness in the apartment. We have chosen items of furniture and fittings which hopefully complement this style. We are so excited by the style and aspect of this apartment and just love staying there and we hope you will too. The bathroom is traditional but adequate. The kitchen is superb and the view is incomparable both day and night, whatever the weather. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on that terrace simply looking out to sea or watching the activities of the birds flocking in the evening as the sun sets.
