Quaint Carriage house from 1800's with an updated interior
We live in the heart of Amish country with so much to do and see. Even the drive to these entertainment spots are so scenic. It’s like being on a tour just driving!
Sandy purchased this Cottage in 2001

Sweet and comfortable little cottage
I could see myself staying in this well maintained cottage as a long term renter. The residence is well maintained, beautifully decorated, and very quiet.
I wish there were more restaurants closer. However, for a peaceful get away with a friend, this property was perfect.
Thank you for your kind review,

Tiny House, Big Character
This is as gorgeous as it looks in pictures. It was a perfect launching pad for our country adventures! It was also an ideal retreat to spend the whole day in bed. Not recommended for a rambunctious child, although the futon downstairs is the most comfortable futon ever. Everything was just right for my husband and I to escape from the busyness of life!
Thank you for your kind review.
Was a great place in Amish country
Cozy little cottage. I enjoyed it more than a hotel room
Humble, Little, Lovely
The location is pretty perfect - solidly embedded in Amish country, but an easy drive from Lancaster or Susquehannock State Park. The farm lanes surrounding make for very enjoyable walks, and if you haven't been to Lancaster in a while, you might be surprised by how much low-key fun the little city offers.
The carriage house itself was immaculate and well enough stocked with the basics, though the bedding was extra nice. In construction and mood, it's a bit of an odd duck, with Pergo flooring downstairs and vinyl windows, but a well considered layout and some 19th century details lovingly showcased. Similarly, the downstairs room is fine, but very basic and not very atmospheric; while the upstairs room is really charming. If you're a couple looking for a quiet place to get away for the weekend, I can't think of anything better without spending lots of money.
The owner was very pleasant to deal with, and while I won't make promises for her regarding anyone else's stay, she did furnish a couple sweet un-advertised extras that made us smile.
