About Nick & Sheri Larson

My wife and I have both lived in the area for over thirty years and we still love it here in spite of all the rain. We have a large family with six adult children and eleven grandkids. There is never a dull moment around the Larson house.

Nick & Sheri Larson purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Nick & Sheri Larson chose Olympic Peninsula

We lived across the highway from this cabin over twenty years ago and rented a small cottage that is no longer standing. During the summer months we can walk downstream to the next river bar where we used to roast hotdogs and marshmallows with our kids over twenty years ago. One family of our old neighbors still live there.

What makes this cabin unique

We can see the Sol Duc river flowing by without going outside. There is a beautiful view of the river from the living room window and the kitchen window as well.

Great Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My nephew and I stayed in late July 2017 and had a GREAT time. This cozy cabin had it all! Nick and Sherri are the best hosts! They provided so much and were so kind to my nephew and I. We really enjoyed having smores by the grill and fishing on the river in the back yard! Thanks so much for a great place. If we are in the Forks area again we will be staying here again!

Wonderful location and comfortable accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the cabin for a weekend get away for 2 people and would absolutely recommend staying here again. The hosts are very helpful, awesome location, and the accommodations are spotlessly clean and recently updated.

not the location I had hoped for

  • 2 of 5

This is a lovely cabin, but you should know it is located on 101 and very close to the road. There was also construction and noise from the bridge right next to the cabin. So if you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is not the place for you. We appreciated that the owners were very nice and accommodating.

Nice location and very clean home. Bring ear plugs for sleeping

  • 3 of 5

Great location to see Hoh Rainforest, Sol Duc, coast and other wester Olympic National Park sotes. House is super clean, lied having laundry there to wash muddy hiking clothes. Right on Sol Duc river and nice yard looking out with access to river . Down side is that is RIGHT on 101 so traffic /truck noise all night is significant if you have the windows open.

New Favorite Place

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Hidden Duc and absolutely loved our time here. Having a king-size bed, in an actual bedroom, was very important to us. We didn't realize until our stay how beneficial it was to also have a full-sized kitchen. We bought groceries and had at least one meal each day at the cabin. That was a nice savings! The cabin is the perfect size with a great layout, and is super clean!. And having the washer and dryer ended up being a great benefit; it was nice to be able to pack clean clothes when we had to leave.

We headed out hiking each day to different areas (Cape Flattery, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Falls, and the La Push area to name a few) and the cabin was perfectly centrally located for our adventures. We love the Olympic Peninsula and can't wait to come back. When we do, we will definitely be staying at the Hidden Duc again.
