Why Richard Greer chose Old Saybrook
Lovely and pristine getaway, in a cherished family home for decades.
What makes this House unique
Our family fell in love with this beach front home because of its extraordinary views as well as the graceful floor plan, that is perfect for both entertaining a large group or cozy and alone. We have enjoyed many summers as well as holidays in this quiet and peaceful setting, relaxing to the sound of the waves breaking on the beach wall.

Beautiful, spacious home directly across from the water.
From the minute we stepped into the house we felt at home. The home is very spacious and well appointed. We had 7 adults and 2 children stay for the long Memorial Day Weekend. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, a beautiful master with a king bed and another bedroom with 2 twin beds. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs where 7 can sleep comfortably. There is large living room, a sun porch, dining room, and large eat in kitchen with nice appliances and washer and dryer. Three full and one half baths round out this beautiful New England home. My mom uses a walker, she had no trouble navigating the house. The yard is big and there is plenty of parking. The beach is on the smaller size, but across the street, very handy. There are beautiful water views from many rooms. A wonderful weekend get away!
Great weekend! Plenty of amenities, close to the water,, very clean, everything you need. Thank you
Phenomenal location on Long Island Sound
Lovely, warm home, very comfy, lots of room, with spectacular views and gorgeous sunsets. We loved that everyone could hangout in the big open kitchen area while making meals and sprawl out in the large living room afterwards. Beautiful views everywhere! We also loved the walking path along the sound that was just across the street.
We were welcomed with a really thoughtful, beautiful fruit basket, beds all made up and lots of towels.
Richard was very helpful, easy to talk to and very accommodating. We had such a great time and hope to return in the future.
Beautiful house across the street from the ocean
Recently, my husband and I wanted to spend a few days at the beach; we were fortunate to find this precious gem! When we arrived, the first thing we saw was a bottle of wine that had been set out for us. The house is spacious and immaculate. It had everything we could have asked for, from dishes and utensils, plenty of linens, and a washer and drier. From most oversized windows, we could see the beach. Although the weather was cold, we enjoyed taking short walks and coming back to the house to relax. Richard was quick to respond to our questions and very accommodating. We hope to return to the house again.
Great family reunion at The Gulls
Highly recommend The Gulls for your next stay in Old Saybrook. Everyone in our family of 8 found Richard’s home very comfortable & accommodating. We especially enjoyed watching the sun rise & sun set from the sunroom and sitting by the fireplace at night. The thoughtful fruit display upon our arrival was so very thoughtful & much appreciated. Thank you Richard for making our reunion a wonderful memory.
Wonderful house overlooking the LI Sound with beautiful nightly sunsets over the water.
I would highly recommend this home!
Historic Old Saybrook where the Connecticut River meets the Long Island Sound is a classic New England sea side community and is well known for its abundance of stately shingled homes and historic districts. Conveniently located between Boston and New York city, Old Saybrook has long been a haven of summer retreat. The historical town center features charming shops and restaurants, several historic churches and most notably The Kate (the Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center) which is famous for its theatrical productions, live music performances, and classic movie showings all year long.
