Guest Comments:

Holiday was excellent. Your villa is very well equipped with all the comforts of home. The location is also very good being close to the pool but still enjoying a quiet site not overlooked by others. I notice that La Manga has not forgotten how to charge handsomely for just about everything!!! Nonetheless a great time was had by all. We tend to be beach as opposed to pool people and there was a good choice all within a short drive. Restaurants on and off site were also very good with something for everyone. Ultimately feeling the sun on my back and seeing a blue sky was enough to make my holiday.

Glad we chose your villa. Would we go back? Absolutely.

Many thanks

Just a quick email to say thank you so much for the rental of your villa. We had an amazing time, just perfect! The weather was fab and everyone was so nice to little Charlie - I think it helped being not high season - we had the baby pool to ourselves most days!

We loved every minute of it and the location of your villa and Los Molinos itself is the best out of all the villages I have stayed in previously.

Many thanks

Laura, Joff and Charlie

We think your home is truly lovely, perfectly positioned for all sorts of reasons and a real home from home. It is so lovely to rent a home where the kitchen is fully kitted out with everything needed, sadly lacking in most rental properties. We are having a very relaxing time and our little girl is enjoying the afternoons at the childrens club. We have been watering your plants as it has beenvery hot and dry although I understand some rain is coming at the end of the week.

Many thanks & best wishes

just wanted to let you know how extremely pleased our stay in your villa was ,and that it met all of our expectations and was well equipped for our stay , we had two very relaxed weeks in in your quiet and peaceful villa ,so much that I would like to enquire if we can have the villa for the same two weeks next year 3rd-17 Aug 13

Best Regards

Andrew Lake

We are back in Germany.

Over 35 years we spend holidays in Spain. The last 10 years we lived in villas in Valencia, Almeria, Sevilla. But your villa was the best. Congratulation.

The country, the resort, the resort management, the weather, all perfect.

For holiday in 2013 I will sent you a mail in December.

Kind regards.

Thanks very much for allowing us to stay on a bit later on Friday. It made a big difference given our later flight time.

As promised here is a short testimonial.

'Thanks Ian and Maureen, we had a lovely holiday. Your villa was just perfect, well positioned, fresh and clean. Fiona loved the fact that it gets the sun all day.'

Dear Ian and Maureen

Thank you so much for a really great stay in Los Molinos. We had a really enjoyable time. The house is so well appointed and equipped: it was everything we could want.

Thanks too for all the info and for such efficient handling of our booking. We will certainly want to return next year so will be in touch. Thanks again and very best regards

June 2010

Dear Ian and Mureen.

We just returned after 4 wonderfull La Manga days. And we enjoyed your house so much. Very well equipped kitchen (the first thing I always look for when I arrive at a ret-house is… sharp knives; if that’s okay everything almost always is – and yours were perfect), nice quiet location and yesterday evening, Jan and I sat on the upper sun terrace until 1 o’clock enjoying the view, the starry night the bats and everything.

I’m glad the money finally got to you.

Thank you again; we hope to come back to your house again someday.

Kindest regards

Perfect for our golf break

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in early February on a 4 day break and enjoyed our stay at the property. The outside spaces on the property are a roof terrace, a small garden and a balcony which has a table and seating for 6 along with a BBQ.

Inside the 1st floor has the lounge and kitchen, the ground floor has bathroom, twin bedroom and double bedroom with en suite. The bedrooms and lounge have air con, there is free wifi access throughout and sky/bt sports along with the usual tv channels, the property is well maintained.

We would happily stay here again - Los Molinos area of the resort has a large outdoor pool and pool bar (closed as it was out of season), elsewhere the plaza area (10 minute walk) did have bars and restaurants open, and the ones we visited had very friendly staff and reasonably priced food which we enjoyed.

Finally, our booking process through the the owner was easy and Marc sent us an info pack prior to travelling and was helpful with our email questions.

Delightfully situated, well equipped villa

  • 5 of 5

Dear Marc and Chrisje, just back from a great time in your lovely villa, which is very well equipped and set in a lovely location in La Manga Club. The villa was clean, nicely decorated in a modern Spanish style and very comfortable. The fine weather helped and it was very sunny even in March. Much of the time we ate out at places within and without the Club but also relaxed over a meal in the villa looking out to the Mar Menor. Resort Management looked after us very well and provided clean linen mid-holiday during the 2 weeks. We watered the plants in and around the garden as needed so it looked very colourful.

A great break for us and we expect to come again. Ian and Maureen

September Sun

  • 5 of 5

La Manga Club had been recommended by my 20 year old grandaughter and her friends and they were not wrong. The villa was lovely, well equiped and comfortable. The location is great and once we learnt all the short cuts the location was even better. The information provided was comprehensive and really useful. I would highly recommend a late lunch at the pool bar. Great food.

Home from Home but with the sunshine

  • 5 of 5

From the time of booking to our going away Ian & Maureen made it nice and easy, answering any questions promtly. Great first impressions as the villa is clean and maintained to a high standard, well equipped even to have Portmeirion crockery in the cupboards which added the home from home touch.

Located in just the right spot not to far from the pool and Alex and Robert's Los Molinos pool bar/restaurant (5 minute walk and lovely food). Far enough away so you didn't get the noise but close enough for the kids to access without worrying about them.

The kids ages 9 and 11 loved the whole La Manga experience with the feeling of being safe around the community. The english speaking t.v package was also a hit.

Really can't fault the villa but if there was a little downer, it would be that the trees in the baranca have grown that much it restricts the view from the lower terrace, having said that we will stay here again in your lovely villa and hoping to do so in the near future.

Would recommend this villa and hope anyone that uses it treats it with the respect it deserves.

Los Molinos villa

  • 5 of 5

Overall experience with the property was excellent. Booking feedback good and prompt, with easy to follow instructions. The property is well situated for the Los Molinos pool and is on a quiet, end of row. Los Molinos pool beds hard to come by unless you adopt the German approach. Main pool at complex good. Occasionally the lifeguards tried to come round and charge for the beds at the main pool. This was very hit and miss and we couldn't work out the criteria for having to pay.

The villa is well maintained, clean and big enough for a family of 4 with children below young teenager age. UK TV was a bonus for the kids, but the remote didn't work.

Weather excellent - not too hot, only 1 partly cloudy day in 2 weeks.

La Manga itself is an oasis in a bit of a desert. Very good sports facilities, but not cheap. Tennis academy runs well and the instructors speak good English. Outside of the resort, the La Manga strip is a Spanish version of Blackpool. The beach in the country park is secluded and good, if a little bumpy to get to along the unpaved roads. Local supermarket very busy on a Sunday morning, less so outside of then. Seemed to want a passport when paying by credit card, but didn't push the issue. On site supermarkets expensive by comparison.

Restaurants on La Manga and in nearby villages not cheap, especially with strength of Euro. We ended up self catering in the apartment which was OK.

Lovely Villa

  • 5 of 5

Just back from a fantastic fortnight in your Villa. We found the location excellent, near enough to the Pool but also quite quiet. Very clean and well maintained property and the air conditioning made the 30 degree heat outside bearable !

Beautiful views from the upper terrace across to the Strip.

The staff at the Pool Bar was very friendly and always plenty of sunbeds etc. The tennis facilities are excellent.

Absolutely first class holiday and would recommend this Villa and location to anyone. You do need a car though, especially once the heat gets up as it did when we were there in June 2008. Hopefully will go again.

La Cala, La Manga Resort
Car: recommended

Los Molinos in La Manga Club, Murcia is delightfully situated on a wooded peninsular, backed by hills with the Mar Menor 2 miles to the North and the Mediterranean just over the hill to the South. There is a sandy cove on the Mediterranean, La Cala, nearby.

It is within the La Manga Club Resort which has a host of sporting and leisure facilties including 3 international golf courses, a Par 47 practice course plus a superbly equipped range and academy. The tennis facilities are second to none with an academy and 28 courts of all types. There is a very well appointed Spa.

Located in Murcia 20 minutes drive from the airport, it is close to Los Belones and near to the old Roman/Carthaginian city of Cartagena and its many attractions. It is a mainly farming with small fishing villages such as Cabo de Palos, which has a marina with restaurants and a great Sunday Market with every sort of food and goods.

There is an extensive coastal nature reserve, Calblanque, with great beaches close by.

Other Activities: Local Interest trips, Local Nature Reserve and bird watching, diving, sailing, riding and Fiestas

Golf: La Manga Club has three golf courses and a good par 47 pitch and putt practise course. There are excellent practise grounds with driving range, putting greens, pitching areas and bunkers. The Golf Academy provides coaching for all levels of play in excellent surroundings.

The main championship courses, North and South, have been completely refurbished recently. The addition of more water features and improved greens makes for interesting and challenging play. Guests of owners are provided with a letter enabling much discounted green fees from the walk in price.

The West course is quite unique. Based around a hillside a few minutes from La Manga Club, it requires patience and some skill to negotiate the many unusual holes. However, the fine countryside compensates. There are two clubhouses, which provide a range of food and drinks and in the main Clubhouse, there is a well appointed shop.

Tee off times can be booked on the La Manga Club web site before travelling, which is advisable as the courses can get busy, even in the Winter. Note that only rubber spikes are allowed but these can be fitted in the main Clubhouse for a modest fee.

In addition to the buggies, which must use the fairway side tracks, there are three wheel buggies for single use that can use the fairways. Electric trolleys are available for hire. We provide storage in the villa for golf clubs and hand trolleys.
