About Sandy Provasi Owner/Manager

Tom is a contractor and enjoyed remodeling the cabin. It was built in the 1970's with only paneling for the walls. Now, after adding insulation and sheetrock the cabin is bright and cozy. The kitchen and two baths were reconfigured to use the space more efficiently.

Sandy Provasi Owner/Manager purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Sandy Provasi Owner/Manager chose Truckee

Winter Wonderland!!!

  • 4 of 5

We took our two grandsons (3 and 2 year old) to see snow for the 1st time, along with their parents. We all loved the cabin and felt very, very cozy and comfortable in the living room and kitchen area as we watched the snow come down. We also slept well in all beds. There was so much snow that we had to dig our way out the back making steps to get to the snow covered golf course where we could taboggen and snow shoe. The 3 year old asked his parents to buy the cabin so he could come back.

Perfect Donnor Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Hello,

We stayed for a few days in this house and loved it. It had great opportunities for walking due to the golf course behind it and was just the perfect size for a medium sized family (6). The owner was super helpful and accommodating as well. I highly recommend it!

Truckee Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at the cabin. It was very comfortable for us. All the windows made us feel like we were outside even when we were inside!! Sitting on the back porch was so peaceful - and a great place to view the wildlife -- and also a golfer here and there! Simply wonderful.

The cabin was cozy and comfortable. Also dog-friendly, which was a plus for us. Convenient location to lots of places in Truckee.

Very near perfect!

  • 4 of 5

This is a lovely dog and family-friendly cabin, spacious, wonderfully decorated. Had all the amenities we needed, and owner was very easy to work with. Beds were soft, but comfortable and we slept well. Loved that it was one level - only a couple steps to get into the house. House was clean, showers great, plenty of hot water. Great view of golf course. Since we didn't spend time there during the day, and pretty much went straight to bed after getting home at night, didn't utilize the cabin as much as others might, but there is a lovely deck and BBQ that looked inviting. We didn't cook or use laundry, so can't comment on that, but did use dish washer. We couldn't get the TV in the family room to work, but not a big deal for us. Instructions for hook up might be helpful- I suspect folks moved cables around and messed it up. And master bedroom TV remote had no batteries in it.

Strongly suggest that you arrive before dark - very hard to find at night. Should probably post a solar light or some identifying marker at the driveway. After first night, we were able to easily find by the directions and street signs. Have to bring own linens which is normal, but also remember to bring personal soap/shampoo - not provided for you like in a hotel, and not that it should be, we just forgot about it. One downside - there are plenty of extra pillows and blankets, but seemingly haphazardly "thrown" onto floor of closets. One had a vacuum cleaner sitting on top. So...we didn't use the blankets. Not needed because of nice weather, but if that little detail could be improved, it would have been perfect. A special bonus - this grandma promised the young grandkids they'd see snow, and I'd started to worry how I was going to make that happen. Nature provided well - when we drove up, big drifts both in front yard, and out back by the deck and kids loved playing in it. Got me some big points! Wouldn't hesitate to book again - rates were extremely fair, the process was easy, and it saved us considerable $$ compared to booking at a hotel, and we had a lot more amenities. We took good care of the place - thank you!!
