This was my second stay at the Grove House and it was just as perfect this time around. I will be recommending it to all my friends. Beautifully appointed, an easy to get to location, a charming town a few miles away, and a gracious host all make for an ideal visit.
Absolutely top notch location. Really appreciate the personal touches.
We are delighted to be able to rate the Grove Guest House, an exceptionally lovely property. We stayed there for a girlfriend’s weekend and everything was just as pictured or better.
We were provided the finest amenities. Everything we could possibly have needed was there for us with many luxurious extras that were unexpected treats. It was such a bonus to be welcomed with wine, cheese, fruit, breakfast items and unlimited coffee.
The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the towels were sumptuous and it's clear that the attention to detail and a designer's eye are meant to make guests feel at home. Nothing was left out. It was quiet and private and a much needed respite from our busy schedule.
We were delighted to meet Deb on our final night and upon meeting her were so impressed with her genuine affection for this property and her guests. She was in contact before and during our stay just to make sure we had everything we needed. If you need accommodations in the Frederick area or D.C. (we found it relatively easy to get to the Shady Grove Metro Station), don’t hesitate to rent this remarkable house. It truly is amazing in every way!
Six of us stayed at The Grove House for a weekend December 9-11. It was better than we could have expected. First off the location for our needs was perfect. Really easy to find which is nice, but more importantly the privacy is fantastic. Having ample and secure parking was also a huge benefit. We walked in and our draws dropped. Every detail is considered in this home and it shows. I should also note that the television in the pictures has been replaced by one about 3x the size. It was a great place to congregate in the evening, which is what we wanted versus being cooped up in hotel rooms.
The provisions in the home were second to none. We arrived to a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, cinnamon rolls, bagels, fresh fruit, and orange juice. WHO DOES THAT? Deb does, that's who! Check-in was a breeze as we had the code to enter upon arrival. We had two cars which fit perfectly, and my father had run out of washer fluid on the drive and had popped his hood. Deb stopped by to make sure everything was ok with the home and with our car. We spent the day Saturday at the Army-Navy football game in Baltimore, a 45-minute drive from the home. Deb sent me a text that day checking to see if everything was ok. I told her we were great, and mentioned how cold we were at the football game. We returned to the home that evening at Deb brought hot chocolate for us. Again, WHO DOES THAT? Deb does, that's who!!
If your travels take you to the Frederick area, do not miss the opportunity to stay in this home. It has everything that you need and even stuff you did not think you would. And just when I thought it couldn't be any better, on the drive home I get a text from Deb with a picture of a pair of boots that one of the guys in our party left behind. She is mailing them back to us. WHO DOES THAT? Deb does, that's who! This property is exactly as it is described in the listing and is very clean and very well-maintained. I would highly recommend a stay here.
A sisters trip to Maryland brought us to the Grove House rental. It was a wonderful experience from the welcome wine, fruit and breakfast items to the most beautiful bedrooms with the most comfortable beds that we have ever been in. All three sisters agree that we will be back!!!
Stayed here for a bachelorette wine weekend and it was the perfect place for us to be....clean and comfortable! Lots of breakable decorations around so we hid some things in a closet for the weekend just to be safe. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of space for the 8 of us. We managed well with one bathroom for 8 women but it would have been nice to have a second...even if it was a parlor room. Coffee machine was broken when we got there and when I told Deb about it she had a family member bring a different one over right away and it worked great! Deb was so accommodating and welcoming. All 8 of us said we would definitely stay here again!
