Summers in Frederick are magical with wonderful arts events. The Frederick Festival of the Arts features more than 100 artists and dozens of musical offerings. Equally engaging are the many privately-owned galleries and shops specializing in original paintings, pottery, jewelry and artistically executed home accessories. The city landscape provides dozens of public art projects where you will find more than 30 murals and sculptures.

About Grove Management LLC

My husband was born and lived all of his life in Frederick. I moved to Frederick in 1968 and never left. We began building our life together in 1973. When we retired, he was an accountant and I was part owner of an Engineering and IT firm. We bought this property in 2005 because it had a large estate on five acres with a 2000 square foot building shell in the back of our property. I designed the buiding with several purposes in mind. Initially, I needed space for my engineering firm so I designed a large entryway and four rooms (to be used a offices), a full kitchen, and a full bath. Afterwards, I wanted my family and visiting friends to use it for their accommodations. When my company eventually outgrew the building, I converted it back into a home for my mother. After she was no longer able to take care of herself, it was time to use it for visiting family and friends. I also opened it up on VRBO and AirBnB to fill in the vacancies........ and we never looked back.

Grove Management LLC purchased this cottage in 2005

this is a beautiful property and a wonderful ownerr

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at the cottage for the weekend with our family, there were eight adults in total. The property exceeded our expectations, it’s just as beautiful as the pictures. The location is perfect, close to downtown, groceries, and not far off the highway. Deb is wonderful to work with and we are planning another get together there within the next couple months.

Great House and Great location. Spent Christmas here visiting one of my daughters and her husband

  • 5 of 5

House was decorated inside for Christmas. Had 4 adults staying and plenty of room. The TV in the living room is amazingly large. Kitchen island fit 6 of us for Christmas dinner and games! Beds are cozy. Nice and quiet as the property is on large acreage. This is the guest house, but owners never once bothered us. Highly recommend the Grove. We will stay here again.

Beautiful house, convenient to many local attractions

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Grove guest house. The house itself was beautiful, and had all the necessary amenities. It was also very convenient to downtown Frederick, Harpers' Ferry and Antietam, all of which we enjoyed visiting. Would definitely recommend it to others!

Our Cuzin's trip was great this year. We stayed at the Grove and couldn't have asked for better accommodations, amenities or hospitality. Deb, the owner stayed in the house in front and we were at the "quest" house though I would say that our quarters were not meager. One more day and another bathroom would have made this feel like paradise. Thanks to the internet, we had pre-planned our entire 4 day stay. I would recommend this to a group of friends who wanted to get away and have some group fun. The pictures were true to real life. I would certainly return should the need arise.

Owner's Response: We enjoyed welcoming our guest to the Grove guest house. He booked the home very close to his check in date so we didn't have time to truly pamper him the way we normally do. He was quiet and very respectful of our home...a delight to have. He would be welcomed anytime. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word!
