Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Marco Island - Artisan House

3 Bedrooms 2 Baths, With Private Dock And Lift, On The Waterway

A casually elegant, comfortable 1750 SF home sleeps 6, and has activities for everyone in your group; including your pet!

Nature lovers will enjoy watching the wildlife on the canal from the screened in Lanai, while tech types will enjoy the broadband wireless connection. Boaters and fishermen will appreciate their own private dock and lift, while the chef will enjoy the Old Skul recipe collection and new century grilling with a Green Egg.

Your furry friend will enjoy the independence of discovering a new world, in his fenced-in, grassy yard.

Everyone will enjoy the Entertainment Center! With HDTV, a surround sound Home Theater stereo/DVD player, it also contains books, puzzles and games for your amusement.

The Master suite downstairs sleeps two, in a beautifully appointed King Size bed with en suite bathroom, TV, walk-in closet, and dressing area.

Upstairs, a Queen Bed graces the East Bedroom with its own TV. Two Twin Beds are in the West Bedroom, with a generous bath between them.

All have access to the outdoors; the Master Suite with it's private entry to the Lanai, the upstairs rooms open onto the Balcony.

You have both an enclosed garage for a small car, and wide driveway for a larger vehicle.

You'll delight in the professional (and carefree) landscaping in both the North (front) and South (Canal back) yards. Trim palms and citrus create that Florida feeling the front, while the African flower hedges create a lush landscape in the back.

There are 3 areas for group dining. The kitchen sports a high-low bar with stools; perfect for quick meals, snacks and food prep, and in full view of the TV.

The dining room contains 2 elegant glass tables for 4, with matching upholstered chairs and a glass serving table. Any meal becomes an occasion here.

The Screened In Lanai is also popular, with it's Green Egg grill. Create you own Island Style with our cupboard full of casual dining pieces for 6.

That Lanai also sports a bubbling hot tub, loungers and a comfy deck chair. You have a spectacular view of the canal, from the early morning seabirds circling the trees at sunrise, to the warm lights reflecting off the water at sunset.

Eclectic art and collection pieces surprise you throughout the house. Exotic granite counter tops grace the kitchen, bars and built-in work and vanity area. Italian ceramic tile throughout the ground floor gives your home a spacious feel, while Berber carpeting adds comfort to the upstairs rooms.

Each room has it's own ambiance, like the Tuscany inspired stippled walls in the great room, or the elegant shades of green and white in the dining room.

If you're a history buff, you'll be interested in the fact that you are only a stone's throw from one of the most important archaeological finds in the world.

Right across the canal, in 1927, several amateur archaeologists discovered over 1,000 Calusa Indian artifacts, preserved by the odd chemical composition of a "muck pond". You might enjoy the local museum to find out more about it, and the early Marco Island settlers.

Have you ever been parasailing? Have you ever gone deep see fishing, or ridden swamp buggies through the everglades?

Now is your chance! Air boats, swamp buggies, jet skis, surfing, kayaking, paddle boating - they're all in the area for your entertainment.

Some places will even drop off your equipment delivery, because Artisan House is a waterfront property.

If you love sampling new restaurants, you couldn't be better placed. The world renowned Snook Inn is across the street.

They don't accept reservations, so it's easy for -you- to be on the spot at the right time.

Tigertail Beach is only a few minutes from your vacation home. It forms a tidal lagoon with shallow water; perfect for quiet contemplation, shelling and discovery. Tigertail is included in the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission's Birding Trails, so all variety of seabirds are likely to nest here.

If you are staying longer than a month, we can also help you apply for an exclusive Resident's Beach Pass.

Boaters and Fishermen: Artisan House is one of the closest access points to Collier bay, and the Mangrove tunnels off Tigertail beach.

You could even do a boat run through the 10,000 islands, to the Rookery Bay National Estuarian Research Center, near Naples.

It's an easy distance to the Isles of Capri, where you can do paddle or kayak tours through the tunnels. Another day,you might just want to open her up, and make straight for the Gulf of Mexico. or charter a fishing boat for some deep water fun.

If shopping and the Arts are your thing, you'll be delighted to know the Olde Marco Village shops are right across the street!

You'll find a central shopping area about 1.5 miles from your Vacation home, all through Elkham Circle. Besides Publix groceries, there a UPS store, Bookstore, Starbucks, Toy Store, CVS, Walgreen's, Beall's and dozens of little shops and cafes.

The Marco Town Center offers free concerts in the Gazebo. If you're here during the high season, this is also home to the Marco Players live theater performances.

Just a bit further down Collier, you'll find more upscale shopping at the Esplanade. Several restaurants are on the marina, some art galleries, and you'll find names like Protocol, C'est La Vie, and Cold Stone Creamery.

They also host a monthly Art Fest during the high season.

Our Artisan House "Welcome" book is your reference for topics from accessing your WiFi, to how to use the dock lift, or get grocery delivery, or a reliable sitter. That stays at the house.

But the real treasure is your own Artisan House Guest Packet. This gives you the inside skinny on community events, coupons and specials for the week of your stay.

You'll find maps so you can take advantage of local events that might range from free family movies in the park to elegant charity galas benefiting our favorite local causes.

Cheer for your winning launch at the annual boat parade. Bring home Aunt Jenny's Blueberry Cobbler from a church bazaar. Get wacky at the swamp buggy races, or feel sophisticated at a benefit wine tasting.

We love offering you an unusual and personal glimpses of our Island lifestyle when you stay here.

The owner of Artisan House grew up in the hospitality industry. As an avid world traveler himself, he knows what makes an easy, carefree vacation; and how to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

We truly look forward to hearing from you, and hosting your vacation at Artisan House!

Wonderful dog-friendly property in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

This property is very nice, clean and comfortable for our family. Most time spent on lanai enjoying view of the canal. Hot tub was awesome to help relax after a long day of sun and fun. Dogs also enjoyed small fenced yard with grass to play in. Such easy access to open water with the boat, that was really great. We rented a boat for the week and were out to open water every day in just a few minutes. (In the past, we've spent way too much of our vacation idling though canals to get to open water, but not this time!) The property manager left some charming gifts and treats for us and the dogs, which was so thoughtful. We've rented several houses in different parts of Florida and never experienced such a nice personal touch! Also, helpful hints, notes and literature about the island that were so helpful for first time visitors to this beautiful place. Marco Island is now our favorite vacation spot in Florida and we can't wait to go back!
