About Vacasa, TX - Texas Gulf Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Location, everything else not so good.

If you don't set your expectations high it will work. Location is great. Place is small, smelly a little run down and no air conditioning.

Perfect size for our weekend getaway. Nice view of the gulf. Had almost everything we needed except a hair dryer and a broom. Would stay again in a heart beat.

This place is a dump!

  • 1 of 5

We checked into Casa Cabana unit & immediately noticed how hot it was. The thermostat was set on 76 the temp was 80. We called the number on our reservation & were told to give it a few minutes. After an hour the temp had climbed to 83, so we called again. We were told they had an AC technician on call 24/7. I said so should we go ahead and unload the car and get groceries. At 5:17 I was told yes, get settled in, it will be fixed soon. The unit was lovely, it had a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, pillows, sheets, lots of complimentary toiletries & most important to us, a lovely balcony with an unobstructed ocean view. We called every 30 - 60 minutes & were repeatedly told it would be fixed. There was a fan in the closet, so at 9 pm, I turned it directly on the grandkids bed & put them to bed. The temp in the unit was up to 85. At 10 pm, I called & was told "the "AC was worked on 4 times in the last 2 weeks, the technician says it can't be fixed. We can't allow you to stay in the unit. You can move to another unit in the complex or check out." This unit should never have been rented if they knew there was an AC problem! We were told that "the owner was here a few days ago & noticed it seemed very warm." We should have been told right away that they were not going to fix the unit, don't unpack, here's your options. We said we'd move to the other unit thinking it would be comparable to this one. We were being moved to the Tropical Treat unit. So we had to get the kids up, pack up everything & move, to the other side of the complex, not a short move. It was after midnight by the time we got that completed. We were tired, kids were upset, so we just took it, we were told "oh yes in the daytime you have a lovekybocesn view." Tropical Treat was a Trashy Dump. The unit they put us in had no ocean view unless you went on the balcony, but you couldn't do that because the door was broken & we were told it couldn't be fixed. We had a view of McDonald's, the homeless people that were all around there & the flashing lights from police cars across the street at night. I WOULD NEVER STAY AT ANY Casa Del Mar UNIT. They also charged the same amount for the second room as the first. It should have been way less because it had no ocean view, had a broken balcony door, had very few kitchen items or towels, no extra sheets, pillows or blankets and a dirty dingy dump! The entire complex is dirty, trash all over, never cleaned the pool area. DO NOT GO HERE

Condo needs some work.

  • 3 of 5

Condo needs maintenance. Several items not working. AC was not working when arrived. Was told by repair man that this was an ongoing issue. Stove top not heating up to boil water oven thermostat not working properly. Toilet not flushing. GFCI outlets physically broken. Light bulbs used in unit not of the same Kelvin temp which produces different lighting color. The representative for Vacassa was polite, but unit needs an update.
