Come relax and unwind in this cozy home away from home brownstone duplex unit, which is features almost 2000 sq of space, completely private with its own entrance and garden access. Located on a quiet tree-lined block on the borderline of the Clinton Hill/Bedford Stuyvesant Section of Brooklyn, this unit features a designer layout. Whether you're in town for pleasure or work, this humble abode accommodates all. Everything is here besides room service.

This Historical Brownstone duplex features 2 floors. The first floor features 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed, couch, flat screen TV and garden view. The second bedroom features 1 bedroom with a full-size bed, desk/chair, wall to wall closet and flat screen TV. There is an optional third bedroom with bed, and flat screen TV. Recently renovated, the unit features a washer/dryer, kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and microwave, 1 bathroom which gives you the option of either a shower or bath tub, the half bathroom includes a toiliet and sink. The living room includes a large HDTV, DVD, Cable TV with Premium Channels, and Wi-Fi. For those that need to buckle down and focus on work, a desk with an IMAC desktop compliments the space.

Towels and Linens are provided.

There is free parking on the street.

Only two blocks from the unit is the G subway line. Connecting to the A or C line gets you to Manhattan in no time at all. 20 minutes to Downtown Manhattan, 30 minutes to Central Park. 30 minutes from JFK airport. 30 Minutes from LaGuardia Airport, 45 minutes from Newark Airport.

This unit is centrally located within a stone throw's distance from many restaurants, farmer and flea markets, shops and boutiques abound. A handbook with details of all to do and endure awaits you on the desk.

Beautiful home, really convenient, interesting neighbourhood, perfect host in Anthea!

This was our first time using HomeAway and it was a very positive experience. Anthea was there to personally hand over the keys and give us a run down on her most beautiful home, as well as the surrounding area. The subway and buses are close by, which we used all the time to go places. Also a wide range of eateries in walking distance - we would recommend the Cuban restaurant which has great food and even better cocktails. Also enjoyed Speedy Romeos and Chinese wasn't bad either. A bit further afield the Smoke Joint had awesome ribs! It was good staying in Brooklyn as opposed to Manhattan and we would probably stay here again. Anthea's home is lovely and modern despite being 200 years old and provides a sense of history you just don't get in Australia. Everyone we met was friendly and we highly recommend Anthea as a host and her home as a place to stay!

Great property for family dining.

Came out to NYC for Christmas holiday. Anthea was very easy to talk with and available for any questions. Her sister met us at the house for a walk-through. House was perfect for cooking a full Christmas dinner in and seating our family of six. It was extremely frigid this week, and as with all older homes, the radiant heat is sporadic around the home, but this didn't bother us. Only oddity was we were only able to lock front main entrance doors and not the interior doors where our belongs were, especially since the property is shared with tenants. Convenient to subway station around the corner but quite a long ride into Manhattan especially if it was your first visit to the city. Since it was important for us to have the family around the table for dinner, Anthea's home worked perfectly for us. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you for spending your Christmas at the property. So sorry you didn’t remember the 3rd key on the chain is the key to lock the interior of the home. The heating system is on a timer that can be adjusted as your needs especially with extreme weather of -7, which is unusual for NYC. Also, travel to lower Manhattan, Soho etc is about 20-25 minutes if traveling further uptown the commute will be longer.

Iconic Brooklyn walk up

The property was great, an iconic Brooklyn walk up that had everything we needed - not only was the place spotless but it was perfectly close to the subway to get everywhere we needed. The owner went out of her way to provide suggestions in the local area and in new york and was very accommodating.

Very spacious, well appointed, well-located brownstone

We had a great experience staying at this brownstone. The two story space was comfortable, convenient to transportation,and gives you a real feel for living in the neighborhood.

Our hosts were accommodating and gave is good information about the area. Location is close to several subway stops, good restaurants and coffee shops. While we chose to eat out, the kitchen would easily accommodate bringing in food or eating in.

We very much enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this location to others for an authentic Brooklyn experience.

A nice Brownstone in a friendly and interesting neighbourhood close to the subway

Anthea was a great host, very clear and organised about everything. Her house was clean, and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. I loved the neighbourhood, close to good restaurants and interesting cafes. Also well connected, just round the corner from the G line of the Subway and close to major bus routes. We loved Brooklyn with its great waterfront, trendy buzzing artistic neighbourhood of Williamsburg and lovely Prospect Park.
