Quiet barn conversion in Castle Cary

Bedrooms 2
Property type barn

About the property

2 bedroom former barn which sleeps 4 comfortably

The Hayloft is a converted farm building with comfortable, 2 bed accommodation on a gated property. The heart of Castle Cary is 2 minutes walk while the garden in which the Hayloft is situated backs onto fields. The best of town and country at once!

The kitchen is well-equipped and you can get everything you need to self-cater from the shops within easy walking distance. There is TV, wifi, bedding, towels and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

As well as kitchen essentials, we provide a selection of local produce. This is likely to include eggs from our hens, organic milk from the nearby Bruton dairy, local butter, bread from the bakery on the High Street, and a bottle each of our cider and apple juice.

We have just completed a full redecoration, including new bathroom. We're really proud of it. New photos will be up soon. Come and see for yourselves!

Lovely Stay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is lovely, it is in a great location in the high street, near the shops, but so quiet. The high street is very quaint. The cottage is very clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed and more. The children loved seeing the chickens and pigs outside. It was a lovely relaxing stay and I would definitely recommend it. The only downside is that we couldn't stay longer!

Lovely barn getaway

  • 4 of 5

Really easy to find. Well equipped for our needs (two kids under 4). Beds comfy. Perhaps a kitchen chair could be replaced bit wobbly but otherwise everything else was fine. Playground and chickens and pigs added instant fun for our city dwelling children. Local wine shop and coffee shop next door had lovely produce and proper flat whites! Highly recommend Castle Cary and the Hayloft!

A fabulous place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

Not very often I bother giving reviews or feedback, but 'The Hayloft' is certainly worth a mention.

An extremely well presented property throughout. Clean, quiet, spacious and cosy. Although we visited in early January it was a lovely and warm stay. Just a short walk from all the local amenities Castle Cary has to offer.

The welcome hamper upon our arrival was a nice additional touch. Will definitely be booking again.

Gorgeous cottage in a lovely village

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in Hayloft for a night with friends. Cottage was perfect-immaculate presented, spacious and well equipped. Thoughtful welcome pack on arrival, the fresh eggs were great for breakfast. The hens were very friendly too. The village itself was lovely, lots of nice eateries and shops. We had a lovely thai meal at the Bakehouse and the deli had lovely produce too. Overall, a perfect venue to catch up with friends. Owners communication excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely little place for a young family

  • 5 of 5

My family (Mammy, Daddy + 2 children under 3) all stayed for a long weekend. David was very helpful - leaving out a cot and high chair, and supplies we enjoyed. Lots of room for the kids to play in the large bedrooms or in the living room. Great to have off street parking for all the loading and unloading. All in a great little village - where we settled in straight away.

We would highly recommend.
