Unit listed as a three bedroom. It is not.
AC did not work properly.
The listing states that there are 3 sleeping areas, one of which is considered a den that has a door and full privacy. The layout of the home was fully disclosed during the booking process. The guest requested the temperature to be set at 63 degrees. Per our terms and conditions, the temperature should not be set below 70 degrees. The building maintenance team immediately addressed the concern with the guest and went above and beyond to appease them. If any prospective guest has any questions regarding amenities or the home layout, we are happy to answer any questions. We want to contribute to a memorable experience for our guests.
Amazing unit. A great place to stay.
This was a wonderful vacation. Highly recommend.
Thank you, Greg!
So much better than pictured!!
We had the best time- I can assure you will find everything you need for the perfect home away from home.
We were pleased to have three full bathrooms with bedrooms offering plenty of room to store clothes, a plus when traveling with family. A full size washer and dryer with a dedicated room was amazing- take half of what you otherwise would pack and know you have a full size mud- room waiting!
We spent every afternoon in front of the fireplace lounging on the couch (which was big enough for three teen boys my husband and I!
The kitchen is outfitted wonderfully, we cooked four of the nights we were there! The shuttle is always available to run you to the Safeway just down the road- or back and forth between Vail Village and Lionshead.
For the skiers- my only complaint and it is NOT with the unit- the ski valet is outside the Ritz- so you get ski boots then wait for the shuttle to take you to Bahn Gondala- you are dropped off around the corner so you walk down to the gondola in boots which is a bit of a pain- It would be so fabulous if there was a system to walk in your regular shoes and take your boots with you then change at the slope. They were very kind in explaining they didn’t have room to store shoes at the slope and I understand- but it makes the true ski in ski out seem so nice watching everyone be able to quickly run to condo without having to get the shuttle, go to ski valet get shoes and then go to the unit (Although full disclosure we had a friend staying at Lionshead Condo and they called it LionScare condos) so if you want a more upscale place to spend time off the slope you will not be disappointed with the Ritz Unit 9.
I also wanted to mention the walk into Lionshead village is VERY easy- that was a big question for me before going. They are happy to shuttle you without question- but in normal shoes (not ski boots) you can be anywhere in Lionshead within a few minutes.
Hands down a fantastic find! We hope to make it back soon!
Perfect Stay!
From the early check-in(approximately 1:30), to the flexibility on spa appointments, to the seamless ski concierge, our stay was flawless. The staff is friendly and the unit was clean, well laid out, and perfect for 2 couples +children.
Ritz Carlton Residences
We have stayed in the residences at the Ritz Carlton twice now, last year and this year. We are a family of 5 with 3 children ages 8, 5, and 3. My parents came with us as well, so 4 adults and 3 kids.
The residence was very comfortable and had plenty of space and was well cared for and clean. The quality of furnishings and finishes all seem similar between the residences and is on par with the Ritz Carlton.
The pullout beds in the unit were super fun for the kids.
The valet service is excellent. They have a shuttle service that is really convenient for "around the town" adventures.
Some less appealing points about this unit: the deck off of the back does not connect with the back walkway. Its enclosed and you have to walk through the hotel to exit the unit.
Also, the shower seemed to leak through the door with some big puddles outside the shower.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for staying with us twice now in the same property. We are so pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay again. The issue with the shower has been resolved. We looking forward to hosting you again.
Beautiful Unit at Ritz Carlton Residences in Vail
I was with my husband and two tween children and brother-in-law in this beautiful unit during the second week of February. The unit was fantastic; well-appointed and immaculate, with plenty of space for all of us. I stayed in another 2 BR unit last year, but having the extra den this year was really spectacular. All the bedding was great and the kitchen is luxurious and easy to cook in. Loved the fireplace that warmed the whole living area. Would absolutely stay here again.
