An SUV with 4-wheel-drive is recommended during winter months. The road/driveway to the house are dirt, and the snow is plowed. Even still, if you're driving to the house before the plow has gotten there, you might be glad to have the extra clearance that an SUV provides as the driveway is fairly steep. If you can't make it to the top don't worry; there's a small parking area at the bottom of the driveway with stairs up to the house. This is part of the charm of Blue River in the winter; there's lots of snow!
