A very good place combining sight-seeing, relax and discover the nature. Because a lot of things you can explore by feet, you are not absolutely forced to rent a car if you like to stay mainly in the city (bicycles can be rented in the town). Casa Ana is a cosy terraced house, in midst one of the most beautiful towns in the Algarve, named Tavira. Tavira is known for its narrow, old paths, old, historic buildings and the special romantic atmosphere in- and outside the town. It has a high concentration in churches and many cultural monuments. There is a wide selection in restaurants, Cafés and shops, scattered throughout the city. A ferry or a water taxi from 'Quatro Águas', the station near the old market, brings you to the open sea by the 'Ilha de Tavira' island, about 10 minutes over the river Gilão, passing the Ria Formosa channel. Due to tides, the river Gilão always presents a new face. The distance from Casa Ana to the ferryboat is just 600 meters, it is situated very close to the river. On the back of the house there is a quiet patio, which is bordered by an imposing nature stonewall. During the summer months, it is wonderful to have a large outdoor shower for refreshing, a brickwork barbecue and a little outdoor kitchen to prepare fresh fish or meat for your lunch/dinner are part of the exterior.

Casa Ana is a guarantee for a well-being stay during your holiday. The owner, an artist couple from Netherlands attached importance to the details and nice style of the interior. Self-made paintings and enchanting textiles decorate Casa Ana more than charming – nothing is cluttering, the rooms exude warmth and comfort. The ground-floor is very spacious, backwards is a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining area. Towards the entrance one arrives at the lounge, flooded with light, the sofa-bed can be folded out for a comfortable sleeping place. Air-condition in living room and bedrooms for coolness or heat, depending on the season. For the wintertime it is fantastic to use the wood-burner, the vents heats the whole house additionally. One of the two bathrooms is on the ground floor, the other one in the 1st floor. Next to the bathroom there are the bedrooms, each one with a fan, wardrobe and balcony. Casa Ana is a wonderful holiday house – Tavira a charming town – a great starting point for all activities.

We realized in 2008 our deepest wish to move to the Eastern Algarve.

Far from mass tourism, very serene people, a fantastic Flora and Fauna and much sunshine and the Atlantic expected us and said welcome to our new life!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Ana. It is a lovely town house in the town centre. Excellent plumbing and electric works. Everything worked. It was a home from home. Very well equipped with everything you need and more. Barbeque and outside shower in the private courtyard. Jens was very helpful and attentive to details. He even met us from train station

This is a super property!

This townhouse is in a very central location, has a charming patio, and is well equipped. It is much more than just a holiday rental as there are a lot of artworks and antiques to enjoy. The interaction with the manager was first rate- punctual, efficient and warm.

Gemütliches Stadthaus

Sehr schönes Stadthaus in Tavira. In unmittelbarer Nähe des Flusses und der Innenstadt (Altstadt von Tavira.)Dort findet man eine Menge netter Lokale. Bis zur Anlegestelle der Schiffe für die Überfahrt nach Ilha de Tavira sind es nur 10 min. Das Auto kann man getrost auf dem hauseigenen Parkplatz (super) dann stehen lassen.

Wir haben uns in diesem sehr gepflegten Haus und dem schönen Patio sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieter Jens und Heike sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit., sie haben uns einige sehr nützliche Tips mit auf den Weg gegeben.

Wir werden gerne wiederkommen und es auch weiterempfehlen.

Schönes Haus in zentraler Lage

Wir können uns den Vormietern nur anschliessen. Sehr sauberes, gepflegtes Haus in top zentraler Lage. Es macht Spass, die hübsche Altstadt samt der Kneipen fußläufig zu erkunden, genauso schnell ist man mit dem Auto aus der Stadt raus zum Supermarkt oder um die Ostalgarve zu erkunden. Tavira ist dafür der optimale Ausgangspunkt. Das Haus lässt sich im Winter recht gut heizen, die Betreuung durch das Verwalterehepaar war sehr gut.

Einfach super!

Alles war super organisiert und mit der zugesandten Wegbeschreibung fanden wir Casa Ana ohne Probleme. Wir hatten sehr netten Kontakt zu den Vermietern und waren sehr angetan von Casa Ana und den Örtlichkeiten. Der Parkplatz vor dem Haus ist mit grossem Auto doch sehr eng, für ein kleineres Auto aber gut zu nutzen. Man ist in 5 min. in der Altstadt von Tavira und wir nutzten auch den Fährservice zum Strand (Ilha de Tavira). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in Casa Ana und bedanken uns herzlich! Wir hatten einen entspannten und wunderschönen Urlaub!

Lieblingshaus

Wir haben schon einige Objekte an der Algarve angemietet. Dies war das mit Abstand Beste!! Nette Nachbarn, kurze Wege ins Zentrum unserer Lieblingsstadt und ein hervorragender Service vor Ort durch Heidi und Jens. Alles ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen, Platz ist reichlich vorhanden und die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Danke für 3 wundervolle Wochen in diesem Haus. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder hier her!

This cozy townhouse is situated in one of the most beautiful cities in the Algarve. Tavira is famous for its narrow streets, romantic atmosphere and its high density of houses of worship. A wide selection of restaurants and cafes are scattered throughout the town. Tavira flows through the middle of the river Gilão, which is influenced by the tides of the nearby Atlantic and at any time of day has a different face. A ferry takes visitors in the summer months regularly to the long sandy beaches of Ilha de Tavira '. From the house to the ferry there are just 600m. Casa Ana is located a few meters from the river. To the rear is a peaceful courtyard, which is bordered by a massive stone wall. For cooling down in summer a spacious outdoor shower, a barbecue and a small outdoor kitchen invite cooking outside to lay.

Other Activities: Kite surfing, bird watching.

Golf: The Algarve is famous and popular with golfers from around the world. That are also found in the Eastern Algarve various high courts, many enthusiasts of this sport is less common. Both beginners and experts will find their appropriate level courses. Within just 45 km guests have fewer than 10 well-maintained courses to choose from.
