About Bruce Carter

Here is just a quick overview of my career along with a few of CVR’s strengths in the Vacation rental industry. .

I have been involved in the hospitality field most of my life. After graduating from Boston University back in 1986 I got my start working as a night auditor in a small hotel just outside of Boston. I soon became fascinated with this industry and wanted to know everything about it. I enjoyed finding ways to improve the overall experience for the guests and in doing so was promoted often. I learned all aspects of each department and through the years I was the General Manager of some well-known hotels.

During my corporate career as a General Manager of a Hyatt Hotel in Tampa I had an opportunity to manage a small beach vacation rental along the shores of the Gulf. Simply put…I was hooked. This became my new passion and career.

My wife and I had stayed in vacation rentals in the past with mixed feelings about our stays, I knew there was room for improvement in the Vacation Rental business and I was excited to get started.

I feel our success at Carter Coastal Vacation Rentals is from having a variety of vacation property options that suites each guests needs and budget. We also have chosen to keep CVR business relatively small in order to maintain a personable connection with each of our new arrivals. I, along with my team understand the importance of anticipating the guest’s needs as well as treating each guest with complete respect during their vacation getaway.

We take great pride in serving you. We are here for you. So choose one of our properties and soon you will be enjoying a "little slice of paradise" on the beautiful barrier island.

Hope to "see ya" on the Beach

Why Bruce Carter chose Florida Central Gulf Coast

Love the location

These cottages are right smack in front of the beach. Grill out on your private patio or go to one of the areas seafood restaurants for fresh catch. Walk to the Redington Long Pier for those of you who love to fish. Watch the sunset into the Gulf of Mexico, walk the beach, go shelling or just RELAX and unwind while listening to the waves and seabirds. Redington Shores has a wide beach of white sand that awaits your footsteps. Shells are everywhere, seabirds feed along the tide line with dolphins and manatees cruising just offshore.

What makes this cottage unique

The beach of course, but also the Conveniently located:

Take just a 10-minute ride on the beach trolley to John's Pass Village, a large marina, shopping and dining complex that offers a variety of water sports rentals, casino boats and dolphin-watching or sunset cruises. Ten minutes to the north, you'll find another marina and a variety of shops and restaurants at Clearwater Beach, also home to the Clearwater Aquarium, the residence of dolphin movie star Winter from Dolphin Tale.

For a taste of city life, nearby downtown St. Petersburg, a 20-minute drive from the beach, is home to several world-class art museums, including the renowned Salvador Dali Museum, and popular attractions less than an hour's drive away include Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and the Florida Aquarium.

Cute cottage

So pleased with the cottage and location. It was a 15 hour drive for us but well worth it. Everything we needed was there including beach chairs and umbrella. The owners were so accommodating when we decided to stay another night. Loved being right on the beach!

Best Trip Ever

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the most relaxing trips I have ever been on. This is the first trip my wife and I have been on since having the kids. We just sat on the beach all day in the beautiful white sand and watched the sunset at night. Couldn't have asked for more and we can't wait to come back!!!

Cozy, convenient, and charming

  • 4 of 5

The property was as described. You could pull right up to the side of the house, park, and unload your groceries and light the grill and enjoy an evening barbecue. The kitchen was large and fully stocked with every possible utensil available. I highly recommend this location. You are 50 feet from the beach where you can either stroll out and enjoy the ocean or sit under a shaded cabana. Nearby coffee, restaurants, and local fish markets make this property and ideal spot for out-of-towners. Thank you, Bruce, for another great week. We will be seeing you soon.

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This is such a beautiful beach. Our family enjoyed the cottage. Comfortable, cozy and clean. This is right on the Gulf so walking to the beach is convenient and easy. We were able to hear the waves and take long walks in the morning and during the sunset. We were going to be here only for five days and decided to extend our stay and book for next year. The best vacation ever!!
