Raised in Ocean Springs and have lived there for over 15 years. I can't get enough of the MS Gulf Coast! I love to travel and experience new cultures and meet new people. Looking forward to hosting you!
Couldn't ask for anything better. It was private, very quiet and relaxing and within walking distance of Ocean Springs. Miss Barbara was a fantastic hostess and so sweet. Wish we could have had more time to spend there. Will definitely stay here again if we get back to the Biloxi area.
My wife and I planned this weekend getaway and were very happy with our stay. The loft is very cozy and has everything you need. Breakfast was delivered every morning by 7:30am and really hit the spot. This property is literally 2 blocks from the square/downtown, where most of the happenings are taking place. The beach is about 2 miles and is a straight shot. Nothing but great hospitality on this trip!
Can't say enough good things about Pineapple Palms! Ms. Barbara and Frank were so gracious and welcoming. On top of our room being quiet, private and peaceful, it had every amenity you would ever need. The location is perfect! We enjoyed our stay so much and hated to leave! We will definitely be visiting Pineapple Palms again! Thank you Frank and Ms. Barbara for everything!
The Van Everys
My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in the Biloxi area for a weekend so we could attend a concert. The hotel prices were ridiculous, so we turned to Homeaway, as we usually do at vacation time. We came across this loft, which was available at a great price and seemed to have everything we we were looking for. We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, but we decided to go ahead and book it.
When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a guy doing yard work who told us that his mother, Ms. Barbara, was inside and that she was the one who would be handling our stay. She came out and met us and brought us up to our second story loft. I was happy to see that the loft had a private entrance from the side of the house and that it was not open to the house at all, more like a small apartment than a loft. It was very roomy and included a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom areas, although it was all one room, except the bathroom, of course. It was all very clean and roomy, and Ms. Barbara showed us around and made sure we knew where everything we'd need was.
The room was great. We really liked staying there. Although the house was only a block or so from a very busy main road, it managed to feel secluded. We were minutes away from many area restaurants and about 5 minutes away from the Biloxi casinos. A great surprise was the private pool attached to the other side of the house. We spent a wonderful afternoon lounging next to it and floating in it. Breakfast was discreetly delivered by Ms. Barbara every morning promptly at 7:30.
We felt the two single beds were kind of a strange choice for a bed and breakfast. My wife and I felt weird sleeping separately for the first time in many years, but the beds were comfortable. Also, the shower can only be described as tiny. Really tiny. I actually found it a little difficult to wash my legs effectively. But my wife and I are fairly low-maintenance, and we didn't feel that the beds or the shower were deal-breakers. We both agreed that we would happily stay here again in the future. However, the bed and shower situation kept this from being a 5 star review. Don't let that stop you from staying here, though.
The room was cozy and well stocked. The owners of the property were extremely hospitable and warm. We had a lovely stay.
The setting/neighborhood is pleasant if not overwhelming, but the charming house is nestled in a lush, attractive setting of trees, flowers, and bushes. The B & B room is reached via outside, private stairs. The room is more than adequate, and remarkably clean and comfortable. It was, as my wife termed it, "sweet". A kitchen area has all that one needs for a brief or extended stay (we were there 2 nights), including a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster). A 3-4 block walk through a quiet, safe neighborhood leads to the beach, which is not a beautiful beach, but offers lovely sunrise-sunset possibilities. A few more blocks in "the other direction" is a delightful area of shops, galleries, restaurants, and some of the nicest people we've encountered.
The hosts were an added plus to our stay. They offered all the assistance we needed, but also were not intrusive. The breakfast is set out each morning on a permanent "tray", and featured offerings of pastries, fruit, cereals, milk, juice, etc. (and don't worry, a coffee pot, with coffee supply is provided in the room's kitchen area).
An important part of our stay was that our dog was not only welcomed, but she, too, had a morning treat on the tray! The beach was dog-friendly, too, with a leash, of course; and the townspeople were also dog-friendly, with a couple of shop owners offering to keep our dog while we went to lunch!
If you're looking for showy elegance and overreaching service, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a quiet, more-than-serviceable accommodation, with warm, helpful hosts, with just the right touch of attention to your needs, this well-appointed B & B is for you, as it was for us!
