The views --- the breathtaking views are the heart of Nahil penthouse. The master bedroom, master bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, infinity pool, and swim-up bar are all oceanfront. Situated on the secluded north end of this beautiful bay, Nahil penthouse overlooks the most spectacular stretch of turquoise water surrounded by coral reefs, powder white sands, and palm trees blowing in the breeze. From the bird's eye view of the penthouse you can literally see eagle rays and turtles swimming below, the occasional catamaran cruising by, and pelicans spying on you at eye level.

Decor --- from the moment you walk into Nahil penthouse you are struck with the delicate balance where ocean meets jungle, comfort transforms to beauty, and nature fades into elegance. This residence was custom designed to incorporate nature into a living work of art: showers made from corals, jungle trees sprouting from floor to ceiling, tiles embedded with fossils, and Mayan stones covering entire walls. Fall asleep to the lapping waves and wake up to nothing but Caribbean blue waters.

Bedrooms ---

The oceanfront master bedroom with its custom king size bed has an open layout where the main wall slides into itself, floor-to-ceiling double sliding doors open onto the terraza, and the over sized bathroom and double shower overlook the room and the brilliant turquoise waters below. Mayan stone walls, trees wrapped in strangler vines, corals sprinkled with shells, and natural slabs of wood are the building materials here.

The guest room overlooks the jungle treetops with a hanging king size bed made of natural trees and an en-suite bathroom laid-en with corals and shells.

The rooftop palapa loft can be configured for one queen, two queens, one twin, or two twins for the kids or more adventurous travelers.

The two queen sized and two twin inflatable mattresses are also available for use in the living room and guest room (or dining room if you prefer).

Kitchen --- the kitchen is equipped with a six-burner gas stove, over-sized fridge with french doors and ice-maker, Keurig-style capsule coffee maker (Dolce Gusto), over sized dish sink with a separate vegetable washing sink, granite counter tops, breakfast bar, garbage disposal, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and drinkable water from the faucet and fridge.

Living room --- the living room has a large sectional sofa with chaise lounge, 46" flat screen with true surround sound, multi-media center preloaded with Netflix, Spotify, You Tube, docking station for your own music, and multi room audio and ceiling speakers in all rooms. The space is surrounded by mayan stone walls with original art, jungle vines, and polished flooring which spills out onto the vast terraza. Every evening the automated mood lighting comes to life as the sun fades away.

Private Rooftop Palapa ---

This is the most amazing space in the home. a 900 square foot private rooftop deck with dining seating, hammocks, lounge furniture, chaise lounge chairs, loft, sink, and bathroom. The views from up here are very special and it's the best place in Akumal to watch the sunsets!

Pool & palapa --- a 15 meter infinity pool with jacuzzi-style seating, palm tree island, and sunken chaise lounges comprise some of the highlights. A spacious adjacent palapa is a great place to hide from the midday sun or enjoy a leisurely lunch.


Nahil is the only new condo complex in Akumal and is situated on an idyllic stretch of beach on Half Moon Bay. There are few tourists walking by since it sits at the end of the bay, but is still within walking distance to the best that half moon bay and Akumal have to offer. It's a 10 minute stroll down the sand to the best beach bar in the area, La Buena Vida. A short 5 minute stroll in either direction gets you to beachfront dining at La Lunita or Italian cuisine at the jungle setting of Que Onda. A mile by bicycle or car down the private road gets you back into the village of Akumal, along with its fabulous shops and restaurants (Lol-Ha, Turtle Bay, La Taverna, and Cueva de Pescador).

Akumal Bay is famous for its docile turtles that you can swim with all year round. Half Moon Bay is a world away from this bustling area with its privacy and beauty. Nahil is situated in front of the most beautiful part of the bay with the clearest water and liveliest reef. Other parts of the bay don't enjoy such amazing views, beauty, and access to the reef. Nahil's north end location allows the northerly winds to drive any flotsam or sargasso to the southerly end of the bay, thus keeping this stretch of beach and water immaculate.

An absolute "must-do" is to take a 5 minutes walk to the famous Yalku lagoon. This pristine lagoon is where cenotes and their fresh water meet the Caribbean sea, clashing in a unique setting of lush jungles and emerald waters. Wake up early for sunrise or wait until the main entrance closes and have the entire lagoon to yourself.

Akumal is 75 minutes south of Cancun, 30 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen, and 20 minutes north of Tulum. These cities have fantastic amenities but are not the romanticized secluded vacation spots as they are overpopulated with tourists, shops, and restaurants. If you want a "big" night out, these cities are only a short drive or taxi ride away from your hidden sanctuary.

Perfect penthouse for a family vacation

This property is absolutely beautiful inside and out, including an amazing rooftop. My family and I just returned from our trip to Akumal and I already miss it. It is a gorgeous little town with lots of things to do. The penthouse is beautiful with a breathtaking view.We enjoyed snorkeling just outside the condo and the kids really enjoyed the pool. Everything is kept extremely clean. The management company is right next door and are there for any of your needs. Adrian is great and can easily get you setup with a golf cart if you need one, I would recommend renting one. The owners were in touch with us from the beginning and had tons of cool recommendations of things to do in Akumal and it's surroundings. Thank you Michaela!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you Favi for visiting our home in Akumal! I'm so glad that you really took advantage of the snorkeling just out front. So many guests get sucked into the pool and beach, and oftentimes the more adventurous groups head out to the ruins or cenotes when there is this spectacular reef right just in front of our home! We actually just had another recent guest have an amazing experience... they were snorkeling out front just on the near side of the main reef. They had only planned on being out for a half-hour or so, but ended up being out for over an hour since they were getting lucky and seeing lots of stuff they hadn't seen the previous day or two. They were just getting ready to head back in when they spotted a large shadow. They originally thought that it was just another big coral head, but as they moved closer they saw that it was a giant manatee! My husband and I have each seen several over the years, but hadn't heard of a spotting directly in Half Moon Bay for quite a few months. They said that it wasn't skittish at all and they ended up swimming with it for about twenty minutes. Needless to say that they were on cloud nine when they called me to tell me about the encounter! It must have stayed in the bay for a week or so because many more sightings were reported in the next few days. When we come this summer we will complete the final phase of the rooftop and add a pool, swim up bar, kitchen, and bathroom. We have been dreaming of this rooftop for years and are so excited to see it finally come to realization. Hopefully you get a chance to visit again in the future and check it out the final for yourself. I'm glad that Adrian set you up with a golf cart. They are ideal to cruise around town and up and down our cobblestone road. Once we secure more parking we will buy our own and keep it for our guests. Amazing Stay and the VIEWS, WOW!

This property has everything you need including a top ten view! The roof top is amazing, two people in our group slept on the roof top under the Palapa a couple of nights. The breezes were stimulating and the stars were so bright!

The location is perfect! We rented two golf carts and took them into town everyday which was very convenient for trips to shopping, grocery or restaurants.

The beach and pool are down the stairs directly on the property. The snorkeling was very good. We saw some reef fish and two large barracudas.

We also used the kitchen quite a bit so if you like to cook your own meals then you will enjoy using this kitchen. The condo itself is beautiful, and spacious with very nice lighting at night.

Beautfiful Condo, Amazing Views, Great Amenities

This place is a beautiful and perfectly located as the pictures and post indicate. Michaela was easy and professional to deal with. My only observation would be that it wasn't clear to us that the 3rd bedroom is a loft palapa on the roof. We actually loved it (and maybe it indicates this somewhere in the listing and I missed it?) but if you think all 3 sleeping rooms are indoors, you will be surprised! Also, note the elevator wasn't working, but I suspect many multi story buildings don't even have elevators, so only make the reservation if you don't mind climbing the stairs.

Gorgeous property!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful condo. The master bedroom is incredible, and the condo has everything you need. The management company and staff are so helpful and responsive. Akumal is a beautiful town with great people. Michaela is incredibly responsive, and her recommendations for transportation and everything else will round out your stay. We highly recommend a stay at Nahil #8!

Great location, well managed property, and friendly and attentive staff.

We had a terrific time at the Nahil condos. The property is well managed and in good condition. The cleaning service every day is a real plus. The air conditioning worked well and basic amenities were good. My 7 year old son loved the swimming pool where he met plenty of new friends. And access to the beach and great snorkeling is terrific. We also loved the penthouse rooftop which provides great views of the water and a great place to relax. It should be noted that there is no internal access to the rooftop terrace directly from the unit. You need to exit the apartment and go up the stairs, where anyone can access the rooftop. Also, the elevator didn’t work which was slightly annoying, especially when moving in and out with luggage. We were on the 4th floor. The neighborhood is awesome, and we had a great time walking to local spots like Yal Ku lagoon for snorkeling, Buena Vida for meals, and walks on the beach. One of our favorite elements were the detailed notes that Michaela sent us in advance of the trip and reminders during the trip. Specifically, the visit to Rancho Santa Cruz Cenote’s was outstanding! We also liked having lunch at Chimicos in Soliman Bay. Broadly speaking, we were provided with great local tips and suggestions. Furthermore, Michaela was very responsive during the trip when I had questions. My wife and i have three kids and we all felt very at home and happy at Nahil. I will happily recommend this location to a family.
