This is a charming, brick rustic 1870's summer kitchen freshly renovated. It is an efficiency with living area including kitchen area, and separate bath with shower. It is stocked with dishes, microwave, frig, nu-wave cook top, toaster oven, coffee pot, new memory foam queen bed with fresh cotton sheets. It sits on our 60 acre hobby farm with mini-horses, mini-cows, and a kitty. Roam our hobby farm at your leisure and enjoy our homemade monster cookies. Rubber boots to traverse creeks provided!
Our hobby farm is secluded, yet close to our charming village and a hop, skip and jump from the city by new highway. If you picture an 1870's old Kentucky setting you have it right.. Our farm is rustic and authentic, and yet updated and lovingly maintained. Enjoy our animals, creeks, and roam our entire farm.
After a hectic and busy summer, we(both teachers) were looking for a way to relax, get away from the hustle and bustle of the school year and celebrate our first anniversary. The Tiny House provided the perfect opportunity to get away (but not so far away to leave us exhausted on Monday). It is darling and we enjoyed roaming the gorgeous property. Sal and Buzz have put lots of time and hard work into restoring the old summer kitchen complete with restored original brick. The bed was amazingly comfortable and we slept soundly in the country quiet of Lane's End. Sal and Buzz were gracious hosts and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Their recommendations for restaurants and such were spot on. We particularly enjoyed Denhart's restaurant on the square and Michael's Italian Feast.
The Tiny House is perfect if you are looking for a quiet, low-key retreat from a crazy busy life.
The first year of our marriage has been full of memorable moments but we will never forget watching the Cubs win the NLCS in the Tiny House. We sat by a fire outside with the game on inside (positioned just so we could see it) and shared champagne. What a magically simple weekend!
Thank you, Sal and Buzz, for providing the perfect Fall weekend for us.
We're already thinking about when we might return.

We were looking for a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago and the Tiny House was perfect. The green fields and cute miniature horses and cows made the weekend idyllic. Would love to come back again.
Quaint is probably the best way to describe the Tiny House. The house itself is adorable and bigger than your average hotel room. Plenty of room for two, with hot water, a comfy bed and just the right amount of modern conveniences (tv in case the Cubs are in the NLDS!, microwave, coffee maker). The property is beautiful, quiet with plenty of mowed trails to walk around without getting lost. We especially enjoyed the friendly cat and watching the horses go about their business while sitting by the outdoor fit pit with a glass of wine. There is no question that we will make this a yearly event. Sal and Buzz couldn't be nicer or more helpful and gave us just the right amount of privacy. If you want a romantic getaway that's different, you won't be sorry.
Nice, quiet atmosphere. We were only there to rest our heads at night so did not take advantage of the beautiful property. The Tiny House is a quaint little place meeting our needs for the trip.
I would have given five stars with the exception of being taken aback by a one time service fee and cleaning fee added to the cost of the stay, totaling another $60+. Charge a little more per night for the Tiny house and remove those two charges from the invoice. I think it would make the guests happier.
We have a wonderful time. If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway this is a great place. The property is beautiful, you can walk and explore or you can just sit outside and enjoy the horses or the deer in the pasture. Not to the mention the owners were wonderful as well, very hospitable.
We had a wonderful time. Buzz and Sal were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. They even offered some suggestions on places to go and things to see. We visited many of them, and we're not disappointed. Washington was no more than a 5 minute drive away and finding your way around is not hard at all. Even going into Peoria was a breeze. Both, Washington and Peoria, we're wonderful places to explore.
The tiny house is perfect for a relaxed couple to spend some much needed down time in. We spent a lot of time in the tiny house and exploring the property, and couldn't have been happier. If you enjoy nature and don't mind find the occasional bug or spider wandering around, then this place is perfect for you. The tiny house was everything we imagined it would be and so much more. Thanks for everything Buzz and Sal. We can't wait for our next visit.
