The Skyline house on Monte Verde Drive (owned by Joel Nakaya) proved to be a superb accommodation for us four L.A. high-school friends, at age 69, on our 31st annual ski trip. The house is indeed modern and clean, as advertised, designed and organized beautifully, with excellent amenities. The rental is perfectly affordable for 5 nights, each with his own bedroom and bathroom. The house is located on the slope above Wasatch Boulevard, within easy reach of local shopping, downtown Salt Lake City, and, most important, well placed for the two ski canyons (Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood) and the route to Park City/Deer Valley. The property manager, Jesse Nutting, is efficient and kind, with a generous spirit, and he is within easy reach should he be needed. However, everything we needed was already provided, and our mid-week adventure was supported well by everything the house had to offer.
This property was well appointed and with modern furnishings. The house is spacious and conveniently located to ski slopes, grocery, and local eateries. I would recommend this property!
We are 2 blocks from 2 major shopping and dining areas. The Canyon Rim Shopping area at the top of 3300 South has REI, Salty Peaks and Milosport for the snow enthusiasts. Smith's food and grocery, About a dozen great eateries, Momentum Climbing Gym and the State Liquor store. The Olympus Hills Shopping center to the North has Christy Sports Ski shop, Millcreek Bicycles, Dan's food, Hardware store, Bowling Alley, Gym, Dry Cleaners and Mail boxes etc, Einstein Bagels, Kobe Cho Sushi, Wing Coop & Barbacoa restaurants. Our favorite restaurants are just 4 miles North at the mouth of the Big Cottonwood Canyon. Try Market Street Grill for seafood, fresh oysters and the best clam chowder in town.
