My family of four stayed for three nights in this charming, colorful flat. We loved the location, the patio and the outdoor shower. The place was immaculate and the rental agency could not have been more responsive. We hope we may return again.
Wonderful location, within walking distance to the beach, Venice canals, Abbot Kinney and Main street shopping and restaurants. The house is warm and inviting, well appointed, clean and comfortable and the outdoor patio with shower is a bonus!
What an amazing house! Built in the 1920's and beautifully maintained, it was comfortable, perfectly located just a couple blocks from the Beach boardwalk and so unique! The outdoor shower is very cool as well! We loved every minute of our vacation there. Thanks.
A bit of info that was NOT mentioned was this is not a signal family home it has an attached unit below it , I was a bit thrown off by this ....... we where expected to be quiet at 10 pm .... we where not expecting this to happen on our only family vacation .... I was watching the clock to make sure we where not making to much noise :( there also was no laundry detergent as this was one of the items mentioned to be provided and the Iron was not there as stated .... I would not recommended this area for family that have any faith values this area allows topless nudity on the beach and it is a bit raunchy and shady area with a lot of pot shops
Brought the family to Venice Beach for a concert and decided to rent a house close to the beach. This is a spectacular house. Old Spanish Colonial with lots of character. I particularly liked the stain glass window in the front that you could open to let in the breeze and the Sausalito tiles with the cobalt blue accents in the kitchen. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the pots, pans and appliances to cook with. Many of them high quality vintage. Beds were clean and comfortable. The best thing of all was the outdoor shower and bathroom. What a treasure!! Would surely stay again.
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was very clean.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Although the pics are nice and helpful, we were delighted at how spacious this rental really was when we arrived in person! It flows nicely and offers lots of room for a group (there were 3 of us). The outdoor rooftop patio was as we'd hoped & spent much of our time there. The outdoor bathroom & shower were such a blast too! Who doesn't love quirky & cool, after all? Location was terrfic. Only a 3-4 minute walk to The Boardwalk & a few minutes in the car to Santa Monica too! Everything was clean and comfortable throughout. Overall we were very pleased (stayed a week), enjoyed the welcome binder and his info about the unit & insight as to where his cool furniture came from too. Nice touch. A couple tips: drop your luggage at front door instead of parking in rear slotted space(s) first. Much easier to go up front steps instead of rear spiral staircase with baggage. The back alley is VERY narrow so take it slow (seriously!) when parking. Nice that space for parking is included though. (Wouldn't suggest a very large/long vehicle. We had a Toyota Siena minivan rental and was just able to make that work) Also, keep cellphone flashlight handy if you arrive to check in after dark as the front entry lockbox/key is a bit difficult to see at night mounted on the gate. Thanks for an amazing stay! If and when we revisit the area, we would rent here again.
