Overview

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 6

How long has it been since your last vacation? This wonderful dog-friendly cabin in Big Bear, California has it all, from a private hot tub to a large deck, where you can take a breather and simply relax in nature.

Enjoy this fun-filled and convenient Southern California destination, only about 100 miles from Los Angeles and 145 miles from San Diego. Great in the winter for skiing and snowboarding, and in the summer for hiking in the great outdoors, this cabin is prime territory for your next vacation.

The log details outside and inside in this rustic cabin with wooden walls, cabinets, and more will keep you feeling cozy. Relax inside, watching something on the flatscreen. This cabin has a VCR player if you prefer classic entertainment, but modern guests may be much happier with the Netflix streaming on the TV (please note: there is no cable). There's also WiFi throughout the home for binge-watching your favorite shows while the wood-burning fireplace keeps you nice and warm.

Does someone in the group make a mean pasta feast? Let them cook in the fully equipped kitchen! A gas grill outside gives you even more options at mealtime. Take note of the barstools right next to the kitchen and the dining table in the living area.

At bedtime, you’ll get to choose from two cozy bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and the other with a two-twin bunk bed and an additional trundle. A sofabed in the living room will sleep another visitor, for a maximum of six guests here (four adults).

Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit – you’ll want to take advantage of your very own private hot tub right outside on the deck after a day of adventure. And if you want to bring the dog, he’s more than welcome to run around in the enclosed yard for an additional nightly fee.

If you need to keep your things clean after a day of hiking or skiing, your private washer/dryer is up to the task!

Head to a winter resort within driving distance (Bear Mountain or Snow Summit) in the colder months, or spend your time cozy and warm in your cabin, savoring time with the family. In the summertime, golfers will love Gold Mine Golf Course (less than five minutes away), and nearby Big Bear Lake is refreshing and inviting.

Don’t miss out – book your perfect family vacation to Big Bear today!

About Vacasa, CA - Inland Empire Local Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Nice cabin with a real mountain feel!

 • 4 of 5

Staying in this home qualifies as rustic no-frills cabin living. We also spent a couple nights in another cabin during the week we visited the Big Bear Lake area but this one, although tiny, was at the top of a hill and near the end of a cul-de-sac that was entirely unoccupied during our stay, giving it a more isolated feel. It was very quiet during the day and entirely dark at night. The air was cool and fresh and the front deck spacious and relaxing to sit out on. I even saw a coyote run down the street. It was nice to go on a morning jog through the winding streets at the top of this neighborhood area. The rooms are small like a real mountain cabin from the olden days yet the kitchen counter has plenty of eating space with four stools. The living room is small, utilitarian and probably not unlike the main room of a cabin your great-great grandpa might have resided in. Overall, this was a fairly cool place to spend a few country nights in and get away from the big city!

Very pleasant cabin

 • 4 of 5

My kids, dog and I went for a long weekend and really had a nice time at the cabin. We played games, went in the hot tub, and relaxed. I gave it four out of five stars only because it was further from the village/lake than I had expected. The roads up to the cabin are very steep and narrow. In the summer it's no big deal, but in the winter it would be treacherous. Everything was tidy, and the kids loved the bunk bed. If you don't mind driving up and down it's a great little house in a nice quiet neighborhood. Perfect if you have a dog!

Great location, cozy cabin

 • 3 of 5

Great location, cabin is very cozy. Jacuzzi was great after a day of skiing. The cabin has plates, pots, but no spices, no oil, so if you plan on cooking, please bring your own stuff (the house has salt and pepper). The cleaning has to improved, because there were bottles of open Gatorade next to the couch, also ear plugs on the couch...overall, it was a good experience.
