Huge 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, mountain views and amenities close by

The Sundance apartments, built in 2006, have been completed to a very high standard. The apartment has impressive views, enjoyed from 2 full length balconies, with the living room and main bedroom looking out over the Dents du Midi and the other 2 bedrooms towards the mountain and the vast ski area. The nearest lift is 50m away, and centre of the resort is an easy 5min walk, with a supermarket, ski hire shops, and restaurants even closer. The apartment provides spacious, luxury accommodation for a group of 6 - 8 adults. The contemporary interior includes a large living area, with wooden floors, 40' flat screen TV above a modern glass fronted real fireplace. The granite top breakfast bar has stools looking into the fully fitted open plan kitchen with a large dining table situated alongside. All the bedrooms have plenty of cupboards and wardrobes. There are 3 bathrooms.

About the resort: The Swiss village of Les Crosets, at 1660m, is arguably one of the best access points into the Portes du Soleil ski area but is only a 1.5hr drive from Geneva. The village provides all the required amenities including ski hire, ski school, a supermarket and many restaurants. In addition to the village restaurants there are a number of excellent, typically Swiss, mountainside (ski access in the winter and walking/car access in the summer) eateries. Champery, a chocolate box village, is only a 15 minute drive away. The Portes du Soleil is the largest skiing area in the world with over 650km of piste linking 14 resorts which include Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets, Chatel, Champoussin, Morgins and Champery. In the summer the extensive walking and VTT (mountain biking) trails keep the mountains open to all. From the centre of Les Crosets the renowned 'Swiss Wall' is only 2 lifts away and the French side only 1 lift. The area caters for all abilities of skiers and boarders.

This is a stunning,clean, apartment-modern and well equipped.The views are superb of the surrounding mountains and amidst the hot summer weather we watched a spectacular storm from the balcony.We would recommend the apartment and location, with chair lifts and a winding drive to get back on the Geneva road.A lovely holiday spent here.

Very lovely property with amazing views.

An attractive flat with. 3 lovely bedrooms with 3 nice bathrooms. The open plan kitchen and living room was very pleasant, with everything we needed and more. Absolutely fantastic location. 50 metres walk to the slopes and could ski back almost to the front door. The village itself is exceptionally quiet with only a couple of places to eat, but Chez Nellie's almost opposite the Sundance block was very pleasant and the apartment itself has the best view for eating at home..

Disappointingly, we all felt that the otherwise high quality of the apartment was let down by the uncomfortable and tatty lounge furniture which seems to be a reoccurring gripe in the reviews, almost impossible to relax on after a long day skiing. One other major niggle was that the end of the stay was tarnished by a whole list of extra expenses, some of which we did know about and others that were a surprise. The cleaning fee we felt was steep at 175 sf, Swiss tourist tax which I know is unavoidable at 1.80 sf per person per day, Electricity had to be paid as an extra (just plain mean I am afraid) and had we requested bed linen instead of taking our own, that would have been another 20 sf per person per week. We never did find the advertised sauna despite searching the block but I understand that this too would have been an extra. It left us all I am afraid with a touch of that "Ryan air feeling'. An explanation of all the expenses, needs to be much clearer at the point of booking.

Despite the niggles however, all in all it was a charming place and we had a nice holiday in a spacious beautifully appointed apartment.

The other additional charges are largely out of my control as they are incurred and billed locally by the residence manager. wonderful area with gorgeous views and plenty to do.

apartment was lovely and clean.

Note: there was no jacuzzi or sauna as the advert states which would have been great after long walks etc

Summer in Les Crosets

Had a family mountain bike holiday. Fantastic views across the Alps and around the area. Chalet was spotless and roomy and a great base for summer activities including zip lining, thermal baths, white water rafting, canyoning and a trip to the goat farm to milk and try the cheeses. Putting your bikes on the chair lifts took the strain out of the mountains. Had a happy but tired family each night tucking into a fondu at Chez Nelly. Looking forward to returning next year!

The view takes some beating!

This was the second time our party have visited Les Crosets but the first time in this apartment. As a ski location for the Portes du Soleil it is excellent. The negative, for self-caterers, is that the little shop, which is lovely, is limited. If you are driving I would recommend shopping en route. There are but a few places to eat out in the evening.

The apartment is spacious. The 3 bathrooms are a real plus when you are all trying to get ready to go or when you come back together.

The kitchen is excellent and well equipped. The armchairs are a bit faded. The price you pay for this aspect and leaving the blinds up?! The bed linen and towels could do with a more luxury spec. We couldn't get the DVD to play sound when we stayed. The ever helpful Yasmine, from reception, was unable to help but did try.

The apartment was nice and clean. All the plumbing and electrical items worked well. There was always plenty of hot water even with all of the bathrooms in use.

There is a good sauna (extra). You also pay for electricity.

The location of the apartment is a major plus. You have direct access to the slopes and a little hut which sells lift passes is under a hundred metres away.

The reception area and outside the block is rather work-a-day but it is not indicative of the apartments themselves.

There is undercover parking available just a few metres up from the apartment Reception can organise this for you on arrival. Obviously you pay but it is better than digging your car out of the snow. We were a party of 4 adults and two teenagers

We all would be happy to stay here again because the view from the apartment fills your soul.

It's a shame the DVD didn't work, but I have fixed the issue now and upgraded choice of channels so you will be able to get BBC 1- 4, various ItV channels and a host of other international ones as well. Großzügiges Appartement mit viel Komfort.

Die Aussicht ist herrlich und man hat beste Anbindung an das Skigebiet. Es gibt reichlich Platz im Appartement. Insbesondere, dass man sich im Wohn-/Essbereich nicht auf die Füße tritt, ist sehr angenehm. Die Hausverwalterin war sehr hilfsbereit, selbst, als das Auto nicht ansprang. Ganz toll für unsere Männer: Es gibt W-lan. Vermisst habe ich nur eine Zitronenpresse.

Great Mountain top Ski in Ski out location in a small village near the lake and spa Hotels. On the border of Switzerland and France. Great for skiing and summer activities such as mountain biking and walking. All local amenities to hand, including bar and restaurants nearby. Part time receptionist, ski room, parking. Luxury apartment with flat screen TV and DVD, satellite TV, including UK, German and French channels. Free usage of DVD collection and WiFi.

Ski: Great skiing on the massive Portes Du Soliel ski area. The resort is at the bottom on the famous Swiss Wall and a few lift conections away from Avoriaz. You can easily ski to Chatel, Morgins, Morzine, Champery and many other distinations. There is a nursery slope right next to the apartment block, where the young children are taught the basics at 4 or 5 years old. The Ski schools in the resort are excellent and cater for all standards and languages.
