About Kyle Quintia
Josh and Jill are both originally from Columbia Falls, Montana, and currently live in Seattle with their 3 children. Josh is an architect at a high-end residential & commercial architecture firm, and was able to use his experience as a both a builder and designer to make this home into something that fit both the couple's esthetic and creature comforts while on a budget. To make their vacation home in Montana a reality, they remodeled an existing home on the property and worked sporadically over the course of 2 years on it, traveling back and forth from Seattle during vacations to bring materials, fixtures, furniture and custom built-ins that were made in Seattle by Josh. An interesting feature is the dining booth table and seats that were handmade from salvaged wood from the original home's wood siding! Jill owns a kid's outdoor accessories company called FORT, and enjoys snowboarding and skiing with her family in the winter, hiking in Glacier National Park and playing in Flathead Lake in the summer.
Kyle Quintia purchased this House in 2011
Why Kyle Quintia chose Columbia Falls
The name of this property is "Base Camp" because family and friends have enjoyed this location for its access to all the outdoor experiences in this area. Now, its available for others to use as their "Base Camp" as they embark on fishing trips, hiking adventures, skiing, rafting, and enjoying the abundance of amazing restaurants in such a small area.

My husband and I planned our late honeymoon to Yellowstone in this fall, and Columbia Falls is one of our stops! We want to pick a place to stay and feel like home, and the BaseCamp was perfect! It was great! and looks just like the photos! And the location is great, close to Glacier National Park, a 24/7 grocery store, the visitor center and one of our favorite cafe in this trip - Montana Coffee Traders (we love their breakfast and coffee!) and also many restaurants, and it takes only 5 to 10 mins drive! and Kyle was so helpful and provided many information and the instruction and it was easy to follow! If we will plan to come back to Columbia Falls again, we will stay at the BaseCamp again! We really enjoyed it!
Homey, comfortable & cleean!
We had a wonderful time in this great little home. There was plenty of room and had everything we needed. It was on a quiet street so at the end of a long day of exploring w were able to get a good nights sleep. It was close to Glacier National Park where we had great adventures hiking and being amazed at the awesomeness of the mountains. We did see a grizzly bear and her 2 cubs up towards Logan Pass and we were fortunate enough to be able to drive the entire "Road to the Sun" as it had just opened up after the rain quieted down the fires! Definitely worth it!
Beautiful and comfortable stay!
This was a great home for us during our August Glacier National Park trip. Everything including the pictures are accurate and as described. Base camp is very cozy and provides all the amenities needed for either smaller or medium sized groups. The location in columbia falls is closest to the west entrance of GNP, but also in good proximity to other nearby places such as the FCA airport, WhiteFish and Kalispel. We took advantage of its location and were able to get around pretty easily. Kyle did a great job coordinating our stay and staying in touch with any questions or concerns we had while we stayed there. We all all the amenities needed to cook both indoors as well use the outside grills, and we picked up whatever groceries we needed at the nearby market located an easy 3 minute drive away. The house is beautifully designed, well taken care of and very clean. Thank you for being our "base camp" during one of the most beautiful and memorable trips of our lives!
Good location for West Glacier
The house was cute, and it fit all 6 of us pretty well. The property managers were quick to respond to any issues we had. Hopefully next time the west side of Glacier won’t be on fire!
Base Camp was a great place to begin and end the day!
This updated modern-style home fit our family perfectly (3). With ample living space, comfortable beds and nice finishes- this place had most of what we needed. Even though this is a vacation- having access to TV would’ve been nice. An exterminator would take care of the ant issue (not bad, but something more could be done). Kitchen was well stock with utensils and glassware; even the fridge had some condiments that were appreciated. The IKEA style furnishings made the modern style pop- with light stain wood floors to the sleek chairs and couches. The wi-if worked great and provided the needed connection to the outside world. Although only 1 bath it was adequate for our needs. Bring your own bathroom supplies- shampoo, conditioner, etc as the ones provided only lasted 1 day. Books lined the shelves in the bedrooms and games in the cabinets. The wood burning stove looked inviting but not used due to a burn ban. Overall this was a great retreat and would come stay again. Thank you for your great communication as well.
Clean, cozy, unique, & perfect!
Basecamp was the perfect spot for us! The home was easy to access, clean & quiet. The home is a quick trip to West Glacier and close enough to Kalispell and Whitefish if you are looking for “more action”. I cannot recommend it enough. We will return!
Columbia Falls is the Gateway to Glacier and an incredible location to access all Northwest Montana's outdoor activities. It lies along the Flathead River and is centrally located between Whitefish, Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake.
