Photos and Description of this 10 bedroom holiday home in Russian Jack Park - The Big Big House

Sleep Up To 35 Guests In Comfort And Safety

12 bedrooms. 8 baths. 27 beds. Welcome to Alaska's biggest vacation rental home. Located near the heart of the city, the Big Big House is close to everything. Put everyone under one roof - cook, laugh and play together.

Completely remodeled in 2015, the Big Big House offers 27 real beds - 16 twins, 1 set of bunk beds, 3 sets of trundles, 2 queens and a full. Add in our two Serta fold down sleeper couches and you can sleep 35 people in all. No other accommodation in Alaska offers this much space for such a reasonable price per person.

Need bigger beds? You can push two twins together to make king size beds. You can make kings in Rooms 1a, 1c, 1d, 2c, 3a and 3c.

You can have access to the entire property, all 12 bedrooms and 8 baths - or you can rent by the floor. You also have access to our two kitchens and two laundry rooms, featuring 3 pairs of brand new Samsung stacking washers and dryers.

The house has two full kitchens, two kitchenettes, three refrigerators. If you're feeding a lot of people Costco is right down the street. We have seating for 20 in the dining area, so if you have more people than this you'll have to eat in shifts.

Why David Murrow chose Anchorage

The Big Big House is Alaska's best lodging value for large groups. Why rent a block of hotel rooms when you can all stay together under one roof? Play games into the night - watch movies on Netflix - cook a big meal. Run to Costco and pick up enough food to feed the army and save even more $$$.

What makes this house unique

Enjoy beautiful mountain views. The BBH is close to everything - dining, shopping and entertainment. Freshly remodeled. New beds and furniture. New carpets and paint. You'll like the Big Big House.

Our cheer team stayed at this house and it was perfect. lots of room to spread out. Large main kitchen area for cooking team meals and enough table/chairs for everyone to eat together. House was clean and very comfortable. We loved our stay and will stay again when our team travels to Anchorage again.

Great place for a large group

  • 4 of 5

We chose the big home this year for our annual board retreat/meeting and were very happy with the accommodations. There was enough room for 14 of us (who come from all parts of Alaska) to stay, have our meetings, eat together and enjoy our time together. The house was clean and had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. Having everything in one spot made it so easy to focus on the work that needed to be done. If you have a large group coming to Anchorage I would definitely recommend this place. The owners are easy to work with and were very responsive to all of our requests.

  • 5 of 5

All I can say is the big big house was the greatest idea for my family of 30. This house had everything in it.from washer/dryers to towels to silverware's/plates everything in the kitchen to soaps, handsoaps, u name it they got it. This house brought a lot of great memories we grilled in the backyard, kids had smores the neighbors didn't bother us. Each rooms where really comfortable. Talk about clean..super clean. I highly recommend this vacation home to anyone. The owner(Dave Murrow) is super cool hit him up if u want your stay in anchorage to be fun n build great memories with loved ones.

Our 16 family members had plenty of space

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. It worked out well for our large group, allowing us to all stay in one location with plenty of space for everyone. We were able to access the owner when we needed (twice) and got prompt responses. The property was clean although it is pretty old. We were not thrilled with the part of town we were in - we had some walkers in our group and they were not entirely comfortable walking in the area. With that said no one bothered us. Bedding, towels, and access to washer/dryers was very helpful as we were gone two weeks total and had tried to pack lightly. It only took us a minute to get to Costco and a short few minutes to get downtown or to one of the main highways going north and south. I would stay there again with a large group as we were gone touring most of the time and evenings and early mornings worked out well all being able to eat and visit together.

just what we needed

  • 4 of 5

This place is what you need for a large party. Place was cleaned and well stocked. We had 20 people and never felt crowded. Location isn't in the greatest area of Anchorage but for the price not bad. Washer and dryer were great. I would give it 4.5 stars

This rental is in a quiet neighborhood, and the neighbors are quiet and friendly. Plenty of parking. Plenty of space to spread out. Enough room to be together or separate. Anything we needed was available. We needed a port a crib, which they brought over especially for us.

This was all newly remodeled and so very comfy. Every person that I asked in my party said his bed was wonderful. The kitchens are stashed with every utensil or cooking item one would ever need. And, if you need something, again....they will accommodate.

Besides being huge, and having multiple washers and driers, the place was immaculate. The main kitchen had three sinks and lots of counter space. Lots of seasonings and supplies. Several of us could work in the kitchen at once. Seating at the table was easy as the tables put together accommodated 16, I think. Plenty of empty shelves to put your groceries.

The living rooms had comfortable furniture and nice tvs. With internet.

We liked the backyard too for the little ones. Fenced and safe. Even has a fire pit.
