About Diannah Beauregard

This mountain home that I have called home for more 25 years now has been my sanctuary and art studio all these years. It has gone through many transformations. In the beginning, I lived upstairs and had my art studio in the apartment below the house - which is the studio apartment that I have recently made ready for guests.

I have always had a love for nature and it has been a source of inspiration of the artwork that I have produced throughout my live here in Balsam. The studio apartment was always my favorite space to create, and now it has become a guest house that I am both happy and proud to share with travelers from near and far.

Why Diannah Beauregard chose Maggie Valley/Waynesville Area

This is the place you will enjoy coming to if you want to get away and experience the quiet of nature. The tall trees in the neighboring forest are a real comfort and home to many birds. The natural beauty of my home will surely relax you and give you a peaceful, relaxing feeling.

Interlude with Nature

  • 5 of 5

An ideal place to pause and enjoy nature. The apartment is surrounded with beautiful flower and herb gardens and the hummingbirds were especially entertaining. The apartment is very cozy and comfortable. Diannah is a gracious person that will make the effort to insure her guests are happy and comfortable.

Very clean, luxurious towed and linens! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook.

We loved the peaceful area and how close it was to so many different places. Diannah was a gracious hostess and wanted our stay to be comfortable! The only thing lacking was A/C. The temp was fine just humid. (In the middle of a heat wave.). The flower beds are pretty and we enjoyed having breakfast while watching birds and butterflies right outside the window!

We would love to come back!

Owner's Response: I offered to get air conditioning for my guests if the humidity was a problem for them. They declined. I wish they had been honest as I would have gotten a portable unit. I am however, installing a wall unit in the apartment for those who require air conditioning so that my guests will be comfortable. We are having an exceptionally hot summer, hottest on record I believe, or hotter than any I remember in all the 34 years I have lived in the mountains. Of those 34 years, 27 of them have been right here, with this national forest in my back yard where it is always cooler and more comfortable here at my home. Now my guests will have the option of using the air conditioning or keeping the windows open to hear the birds sing and all the nature sounds.

Clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

I only stayed one night but the downstairs apartment was incredibly clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet. The landscaping was spectacular. The homeowner was EXTREMELY helpful. I wanted to go for a run and she made some suggestions, specifically, Lake Junaleska. It was absolutely gorgeous and SAFE. It was also close and convenient.

We were only there for a quick one-night stay, but the apartment was perfect! Diannah was a pleasure to work with. Peaceful setting, yet close to everything. The coffee and snacks she provided were an extra bonus!
