About Jeanne or Alan Borowski
Aloha, My husband Alan and I (Jeanne) have both lived in Hawaii for 40 years loving all the activities you can do year round here. We have been in the Hospitality Industry for most of this time, Capt. Alan, as one of the top charter boat captains aboard the Hapa Laka Hawaiian Charters boat for 27 years, (he is now retired) and I as a Hiking & Naturalist Tour Guide. We invite you to see the amazing sites and histories of this island that have kept us passionately in love with it all these years. Alan got here as a Surfer, at Hanalei Bay, then to the big ones at Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and Pipeline. Fishing brought him to Kona's Famous Deep Sea Sport Fishing Waters where he got hooked, taking generations of families on memorable trips making great friends, with his friendly helpful manner. I love the hiking and Natural history of the Island, expressing my passion thru my art and photography. I have horses and He and I do a lot of ATVing and Camping all over the island. The Island is so big and diverse, and even though as much as we are out discovering it all these years, we still have not seen the whole island. Mahalo ... means thank you in Hawaiian, Jeanne & Alan Borowski

Why Jeanne or Alan Borowski chose Kailua-Kona
I love Kailua Town with all its festivities, History, Events, Dinning and Shopping and Beaches. Our house puts you close to it all, but above town so it's not as hot. Its gets cooler as you go up the mountains, we are at the beginning of the green belt (know also as the Coffee Belt) so it is lush and tropical without to much rain. We like to travel as a family, so we created a place where groups of friends or families can vacation together affordably.
What makes this House unique
We have just finished remodeling the house, giving it a very tropical Hawaiian Style, filled with an eclectic variety of art and memories of our travels around the Islands. I have made custom bed spreads for several of the rooms, with Hawaiian theme. But it's the big Lanai that lets you enjoy our outdoor living, over looking the Mango trees and flowers, with a BBQ area and 2 out door dining spaces. You can open the french doors of the Seashell room out onto the lanai. With lots of amenities you'll be comfortably at home in Hawaii the US's exotic backyard. Your private washer and dryer make it easy to pack less, and our fully equipped Kitchen saves you lots of money during your stay. We have lots of Beach and Water Gear, to help save even more. I have been told by many of our guests that we provided move amenities and hospitality than any place they have stayed. The Idea is to have you fall in love with our island and come back to see us!

Convenient home in town
We needed a larger home while visiting family on the Big Island and this house provided everything we needed. It is very well-equiped. The owners are accessible if needed. The location on Palani Drive makes it convenient to everything in Kona, and a good base for seeing the much of the island including the southern, northern and western parts.
Great location for exploring Kona sites!
Our family enjoyed our stay in this house in Kona. The place was nicer than the pictures made it look. The owner was very nice and helpful. She also provided lots of amenities such as beach gear.
Everything we needed!
Jeanne's home was perfect for our family. It is large, spacious, equipped with everything, with fresh fruit in the yard. Jeanne also brought us some special surprises during our stay. The house is within 5 minutes of all you need in Kona, and there is no need for air conditioning, the mountain breeze keeps the temperature just right. We will definitely be back here next year. Highly recommended.
Fantastic Location & Home
We were three friends ending our fantastic Big Island vacation. This home was a perfect home base for all of our adventuring on the Kona side of the island. Jeanne met us with a fantastic tour of their place that was truly a "home away from home" with all the items and things we would need for our stay and the range of activities that we wanted to partake in. It is a great location to some local cafes and spots and downtown. I would book again for a stay! Mahalo!
Cozy Home in a Great Location
This 3 bedroom home with a nice little yard was in a good location, fairly close to Kona, but in a nice neighborhood. It was great sitting on the back deck overlooking the lush yard visiting & sharing meals. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean & inviting. This rental made a great "home base." We appreciated being greeted by one of the property managers, John, who was very helpful in answering questions upon our arrival.
Large but cluttered.
The place is nice but there is a difference beteeen homey and cluttered. Every table and surface were decorated with knick knacks that it didn't leave any room for my things. Plastic plants in every corner that I'm sure makes it a challenge to clean. Lots of kids toys and accessories but too much of a good thing. There was even a collection of building supplies around the outside of the house. The owners recently put in an air conditioner which is nice because even if you open the windows at night it was still 78 degrees out side. There are extra fans in every room but when they are all running it is too loud to have a conversation. A $14/day extra charge for the use of the AC should be included in the rental, Not an additional fee that is sprung on you after you check in. The back porch is a very pleasant place to rest but the neighborhood is a little sketchy and located on a very busy road.
We are close to Kona's Kailua town, with it's Historical Buildings and places, Shopping, and Beaches. The Kona side of the Big Island is known for it's great water sports of many kinds: Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Deep Sea Fishing and more, Sunshine and Beaches, great weather and our famous Kona Coffee. The Island is big! so there so many things to see and do It will be hard ti fit it all in to your trip.
