Gunn Peak Getaway is set on a gorgeous private and wooded 1.5 acres in the heart of Stevens Pass, just one mile from the Skykomish River. This spacious, sunlit home is stylishly decorated with eclectic mid-century furnishings and artwork- something will catch your eye at every turn. Cathedral ceilings and an open Great Room offer plenty of space for family and friends to gather. This lodge is perfect for groups, with two private king bedrooms on the main floor, and second floor has its own bathroom along with a roomy bunk room and a sleeping loft overlooking the floor to ceiling windows. The exterior is just as warm and inviting as the rest of this spectacular property: the outdoor dining and campfire area is nestled under towering firs and cedars alongside the sparkling hot tub. An available hammock is sure to lull you into a peaceful state. This is a beautiful gathering spot to enjoy meals together or a nice quiet place to take in nature and a good book.
There is so much to do at Gunn Peak Getaway! Explore the nearby rivers, hikes, or Stevens Pass bike park. Visit the town of Skykomish to ride the mini-railroad and then stop in the historic store for a train themed candy treat. In the evenings or on a rainy day guests can unwind around the wood stove, enjoy a movie night, get a game tournament going with the many board or Wii games, or rock out with the Wii Rock Band or actual electric keyboard. There s fun for all ages any time of year at Gunn Peak Getaway!
Please note - there was formerly a small decorative fence made of skis on the property (pictured in the last photo in the series) that is no longer there.
Mysty Mountain Properties
This property was perfect for our mixed group of adults and teens. It was a quick and easy trip from Seattle to the cabin which is BEFORE Stevens Pass (so didn't need to put chains on car). Close to excellent cross country skiing and snow shoeing sites. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and equipment including a double oven (suggestion: bring a couple of rolls of paper towels, since there aren't a lot of dish towels and no napkins). We had a few minor issues that were quickly resolved with a couple of phone calls to the helpful manager. We had a wonderful time and expect to return next year!
