Unwind in a newly updated three-level townhouse, which is located in the top section of the White Oak complex and convenient to the slopes, hiking trails, Mountain Inn, special events, ice skating rink, restaurants, bar, and convenience store. This two bedroom / two bath plus loft unit comfortably sleeps eight however, for an additional fee, up to 3 more guests may be accommodated with prior arrangement with the owners. The three sleeping areas are all on different floors in the unit, providing an opportunity for privacy. There is a queen bed in the lower bedroom suite, a queen bed and bunk beds in the main floor bedroom, and 2 twin beds in the loft. There is also a pullout sofa in the loft and a roll away twin bed available on the main floor.
For the convenience of our guests, there is a full size washer and dryer in the unit and all linens are included. The newly renovated kitchen features stainless appliances and a quartz counter top. It is well stocked with equipment, dishes, cookware, and utensils; including a crock pot and stir fry pan. Some basic spices may be available but guests should plan to bring consumable items with them.
The unit has many upgrades which include a new sliding glass door on the main level, an updated kitchen, hardwood flooring in the living room / dining area as well as the main level bedroom, and tile in the entry, kitchen, main level bathroom and the lower level bedroom.
Wintergreen is a 4-season resort and this condo is adjacent to both hiking trails and ski slopes. Other activities in the area include: relaxing at the spa, ice skating, swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, tennis, snow tubing, paint ball, video gaming, golf, mini-golf, skateboarding, and more! The Route 151 corridor of Nelson County is home to several wineries and breweries, a cidery, and a distillery.
After a day on the slopes, relax in front of the fireplace and enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains. Free firewood is provided in front of the unit. Secure outside ski storage is also available. In the summer months, there are two free pools available for swimming. Except on Saturdays, swimming and other water sports are available, for a small fee, at Lake Monacan. Hit the links at Stoney Creek for a round of golf. However, the owners are not members of the Wintergreen Club, so golf at Devil’s Knob is not available.
Be advised that there are outdoor stairs from the parking lot to the unit. Also, there is no landline phone, or cable however there is good cellular and data signals for Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint customers (other networks not verified).
WiFi service has been ordered and will be installed by November 5, 2015
This unit is NON-SMOKING and NO PETS are allowed. ANY SMOKING IN THE UNIT will result in the forfeiture of the complete security deposit.
Unit check in is at 3:00 PM on the first day of occupancy.
Unit check out is at 11:00 AM the morning after the last night of occupancy. No changes in Check in or Check Out during Ski Season.
Cleaning fee covers the change of sheets, linens and associated laundry, as well as cleaning of floors, bathrooms, and surfaces resulting from normal use. Guests are expected to wash any dishes/cookware used, take garbage to the dumpster at the end of the parking lot, clean abnormal spills of food, mud, etc., and scoop ashes from the fireplace into yellow ash can if the fireplace is used prior to departure. It is acceptable to leave with the dishwasher running.

We are an active couple who love skiing, hiking, and just being able to escape the summer heat up to the mountains.

This property is one of the more spacious units available for the price. We wanted to be able to invite our friends with families and have plenty of room. With 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a bonus loft at almost 1,050 square feet, we have plenty of space to entertain. Since it is on the upper level of White Oak, the walk to the slopes is nearly flat as opposed to other properties where you must ascend a steep hill.
We have recently completed many new upgrades to make the unit more comfortable. It is in a great location and has lots of space.
We were at Wintergreen for a fall wedding, and needed space for two couples over a long weekend. This townhouse was perfect for our needs, and for the weather (cold and wet)! Michael made it easy to find the place and check in/out.There is nothing fancy about the house, but the beds were comfortable, the water in the showers hot, and the fireplace welcome! We took advantage of the wonderfully equipped kitchen numerous times to bake dinners and appetizers. Despite the rain, we went out to exercise and it was so nice to be able to use the washer and dryer for our clothes. It is a short walk to the main lodge and to the market where one can buy fresh roasted coffee and locally brewed beer. We did find ourselves wishing for more electric sockets in the living room to plug in our computers (while there for a wedding, we all still needed to work), and the wifi did not support all of us on the network at the same time, despite sitting close to the router. We would definitely stay there again.

Was looking for a quick family getaway for myself, husband and five year old. This spacious unit is just what we needed with separate living and sleeping quarters. Very large unit, especially for the price. The kitchen was well appointed and nicely upgraded. The location is great, as it is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, several breweries, and hiking spots, some with waterfalls. Would have liked to have Wifi available- which I see the owners will be installing shortly, but overall a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a successful family getaway.

We will provide an entry code upon receipt of the final payment. You can go directly to 642 White Oak Dr, Roseland VA (shows up on Google). Upon Arrival, turn on the hot water heater in the circuit breaker in the first floor bedroom. You may turn off the dehumidifier in the basement at night if it is too loud, but please turn it back on again before you leave.
When leaving, turn off the hot water heater. Take all garbage to the dumpster at the end of the parking lot. Dishes need to be in the dishwasher (may be left running). Our cleaner will appreciate if you strip the beds used and put the linens in front of the washing machine downstairs. Please leave wet towels hanging on the rack. All thermostats should be set to 55 degrees unless we tell you otherwise (i.e. another guest is coming in soon after you).
