Short walk down the hill to stunning Lake Blue Ridge.... this well maintained log sided cabin is located in the desirable Aska Adventure Area and within a convenient 7 minute drive to historic downtown Blue Ridge GA. This well appointed cabin has mountain views on top level and three levels of finished living space all nestled on 1.75 wooded acres on a private dead end road. This cabin offers a 6 person hot tub, outdoor fire pit, game room in basement including pool table and foosball table. Swimming and fishing are available within minutes of the cabin by either walking or driving. National Forest Service land is at the bottom of the foothill and it is used for swimming or fishing with little lake traffic. A public boat ramp is available as well. We had a 200 lb black bear in the yard in 2012 and we see deer, fox, turkey and rabbits all the time.
Blue Ridge, GA is 90 minutes north of Atlanta, 20 minutes from the GA, NC and TN (where they meet) borders with hiking in the mountains, boating on Lake Blue Ridge (70% national forest), the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway in downtown Blue Ridge, trout fishing, whitewater rafting, the Ocoee River Olympic whitewater area is 30 min north in the mountains, the new Harrah's Cherokee Valley Casino in Murphy, NC is 30 min away and the famous Mercier Orchards is 2.5 miles north of Blue Ridge.
Our daughters have grown up going to the Lake for the last ten years, we spend summer weekends on the boat and in the winter we love to hike and have a cozy fire in the mountains. We have watched downtown Blue Ridge become a destination for shopping, dining and entertainment. We love our weekend get away, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Lisa Yeagle purchased this cabin in 2005
The cabin provides complete quiet and seclusion plus action fun in the Aska Adventure for everyone.

This cabin had everything a family of 4 could ever need! We enjoyed the pool table, foose ball table, hot tub and the fire pit. We were even fortunate enough to be there when it snowed 3 inches.
I can't say enough good things about our stay at Yeagle's Nest! It is fully stocked with everything you need and it is well kept. It was perfect for the kids (toddlers) and dog! The hot tub and fire pit were great! Lisa was awesome to work with and we look forward to staying here again!
The house is exactly how it is described and looks in the pictures! It was large, very clean, and beautiful we really enjoyed our stay. You can only see one other house which is across the road from the house but their are other houses very close so you are not as secluded as you might think and can clearly hear and be heard by neighbors. We had a fire every night and tried to remain considerate that noise travels easily up here.
This would be a great house to rent for family or couples getaways. Each bed room is on it's own floor and has a corresponding bathroom so their was lots of privacy. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs bedroom and our only complaint was it was extremely hot up there after cooking and the activities of the day. There is a separate AC unit for that floor so we kicked it on and shut our bedroom door to keep cool and its was great. I imagine in the winter that is the coziest bedroom but for summer I recommend turning on the extra AC. The basement was cool and we played numerous games of pool! The kitchen was well stocked and large. We brought a lot of our own pots and pans because we weren't sure and planned on cooking every night but it really wasn't necessary except for a few specialty tools. The water is well water and we were forewarned by the owner to bring gallons for cooking and drinking because it was unusually iron/sulfury this summer. The hot tub was out of commission because of this and was a little disappointing but it was so warm we didn't really miss it. We did use the laundry while there and a few pairs of white shorts were turned a not so lovely shade of rust orange and had to be thrown away. Hopefully, this was a temporary problem but I wouldn't recommend putting any delicates or whites to be washed just in case.
Driving in you can see the lake but we were not able to locate a easily accessible public access point to go swimming. Down the road there is a Forest Service area with trails and some access to put in kayaks etc but somehow we missed an area for swimmers. We contacted the owner several times during our stay with questions and she responded quickly. Cell service is spotty in the area of the house and we weren't able to use the Wifi. Would stay here again for sure! The owner was very helpful and checked in after our stay for feedback.
I highly recommend checking out Mercier Orchards for gourmet foods and fresh produce the prices are a bit high on some things but its a neat place.
The cabin was very clean and was wonderful for our anniversary getaway. Nice area around the cabin and very well maintained. Comes with everything you need and good quality. A few minutes from town and very peaceful. Will definitely stay again. The short drive off the main road is a little rough, just take it slow, and I wouldn't bring any low riders!
We met friends for a long weekend the end of October. The weather was wonderful. The trees were in color. The cabin was beautiful. The kitchen is fully furnished. There are even some spices in the cabinet if you forgot to get one. Plenty of towels. There are books to read movies to watch and games to play. I highly recommend this home for families or friends. Lisa is very pleasant and helpful.
This property is a must rent!
The property is as it is advertised. It is clean, everything is in working order, and just well maintained. they had an abundance of firewood and a well stocked kitchen. The beds were better than the ones in my own home.
if you are planning to stay for a short or a long time in the Blue Ridge area, this is the place for you. Minutes to the center of town. Down the hill to the lake. It was perfect for what my family and i were looking for.
I regret not using the pool table and foosball table downstairs as much as i would have liked.
I am coming back for sure! Next time i am bringing some friends too.
If you are in the area and have some kids, like preteen, check out the Bigfoot attraction, its a good time.
