I was hesitating on writing a review because of drama stomach sickening that this place reminds me of, but it is fair for everyone to be aware not to rent there. They rent rooms to mostly travelers such a nurse travelers like myself. At first I thought to myself what a beautiful house, great neighborhood, close to hospital Sanford, and the owners are so nice. This house was on sale for 95% of time I stayed there (about 4 months), so there was random time showings disregard less of everyone's sleep times. I thought it was rude on last minute notice on showings, but whatever I let it slide. One morning, a handyman came in to fix the washer because it was leaking, since I worked the night before I was sleeping, so I didn't see her text an hour prior to him coming in. So landlord thought it was proper to give him the code to come in.. yes to a random guy. Later on I found out she was giving the code to enter the house to most realtors she felt safe with, including master codes to all the rooms. I told her I felt unsafe, she insisted Bismarck is safe and nothing will ever happen. We had an issue with her bank placing my automatic rent withdrawal in her other bank account, she flipped out and told me she would be in a few hours to collect rent money, if not I would be evicted at that moment, I told her I saw the withdrawal happen from my part she said I probably am lying and I need to be an adult and fix my problem, which obviously was hers. At this point I had it with her, she was so rude, name calling me, she made me feel so anxious at her kicking me out when I did NOTHING! Once she realized the banks mistake she called me saying sorry once. If I was her I would be embarrassed to call someone names and threaten to kick them out. I couldn't see her the same anymore. It was a nightmare staying there and dealing with her. It's just scary to be on a lease with something like this happening, it was so unexpected especially because she said her son used to be a nurse, I thought she would be more empathetic.

Owner's Response: It is too bad that Maggie found her experience an unpleasant one. We have had doctors and nurses and other traveling professional stay here for two years. I have never had anybody give us a negative report. She has been the first one. The following is a review we received on another site called BisMan online; "This place is fantastic!! It is a really great place to live! The neighborhood is clean and quiet with very nice yards. The minute you walk in the door you feel the sensation of newness and the sparkle of cleanliness. If you are away from home it is nice to have a place that feels like home. This place feels like home. It is a very nice place to live and they have done an outstanding job of total renovation. It is very spacious inside with new furniture and very tasteful decorating. If you like lots of sunlight and well lit room, you will find it here because the windows are very large and they let in quite a bit of light. You will love working with Kitty and Mark who are very good listeners and make adjustments as needed. In short, a decision to stay here will be one of the best decisions you ever made." Best regards, Steve Schwartz, M.D. Chief Medical Officer The home was up for sale for four months. It is too bad that it was during her stay. It is no longer up for sale because it has been full all the time. I did not give out the master code to any realtors , This is an untrue statement. They had to go through my realtor and only then were allowed to come into the house just as a lockbox house is when it is being shown. All of the tenants were notified in advance. One day a realtor showed up unannounced and Maggie and her husband handled the situation quite well. Again it is sad that she had a bad experience for we are liked by all of our tenants. Maggie notified me that they purchased a car and would not have the rent money on time. We simply said the money is due on the and she must figure out a way to make that happen on time. They did get the money in our account on time but we made a mistake and did not see the automatic deposit. For this we apologized verbally and in writing. Because we did not know we had the rent, we called Maggie and asked her about it. She became very irritated and unreasonable. She was very rude and unkind. We do hope her stay at the next place is better. We welcome all of our tenants to the "lake house" with a warm greeting and answer any questions upfront they may have.
