The Almost Heaven Cabin is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains with spectacular views. Cozy and warm are two words that describe the cottage well. Although you're secluded in the mountains you can still enjoy the full features of a home at your finger tips. Explore the river or the nearby Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive, all at your own pace. At the foot of the mountain there is a picnic ground complete with fire pits and tables that is for the private use of people residing at Shenandoah Gap community.
The 500 square foot deck overlooks the mountains and is a relaxing place to grill out, lounge on the deck furniture or have a soak in the hot tub!
Bring some wood and build a fire in the fire pit on the deck, its a great way to enjoy some time outdoors.
A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CAR CAN REACH THE CABIN IN THE WARMER MONTHS HOWEVER A 4X4 IS ADVISED DURING WINTER, ROADS ARE STEEP AND CAN BECOME SLICK DURING SNOW OR ICE.
BRING WOOD FOR MAKING A FIRE IF YOU WISH TO DO SO. WOOD MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE BUT IS NOT ALWAYS STOCKED. WOOD IS PRICED AT $5 PER BUNDLE AND MUST BE PAID FOR IN CASH.

Wonderful views off the back porch, super clean. Everything you need to enjoy your stay was provided. We will be back.
The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The deck was closed in which was great to keep my toddler and dog from running off. Everyone had a great time staying here and we would definitely come back if we're in the area again.
Awesome cabin in the remote setting of the great outdoors! Owners and other visitor comments are correct about 4x4. Very rugged steep curvy off road path. We had no issues getting there since we have a AWD SUV. I'm from Alaska living in VA temporarily for work and the visit to Shenandoah was refreshing to see the mountains again! The cabin was very quiet and relaxing with all the amenities; felt like home! Thank you for the great stay we may be back in the winter to enjoy the snow!
Well cared for property, house is in good condition. Pull out bed is not comfortable at all would be much better suited for a futon bed. Overall good experience, nice views and peace and quiet I was looking for. Roads are better maintained then I excepted but did need 4WD as it basically rained the entire time we were here.
Although this cabin was small, it met every need we had. The nights were quiet and peaceful. It was nice to have a home in the Shenandoah Valley to come back to after a long day on the trails.
