Quick stop on a road trip
The property is in a perfect location in the heart of old St Augustine, the shops and water front is only a few minutes on foot. The house is a living museum and it was a privilege to stay there. We only spent one night as we are on a roadtrip across the south eastern US but there is so much more to see in historic St Augustine. Highly recommend booking this lovely old house.

Nice time
The property was nice, but very little lighting for evening. Convenient walking distance to historic downtown.

I can’t wait to come back!
This roomy house is a treasure box full of magic! If you are coming to St. Augustine for the beautiful history and architecture, this house will complete your experience!! Our host Brett was an absolute joy to work with; I can’t say enough great things about our too-short of stay!

Wonderful historic house
Great location for walking to shops and food. Lovely decor and you definitely feel taken back in time. Needs a little TLC but not much, just a few light globes and yard work.

I have always loved to travel, and loved to experience of being in a unique place, feeling far away from reality. I always felt like that was what a vacation was all about. After purchasing the Island Dog Villa of Islamorada, and seeing the amount of happy guests we had come and stay at our place, a passion started growing inside of me. I love hosting and sharing my house with guests from all over the world. St.Augustine was another one of my favorite places to visit. You combine the fact that everywhere you walk, you see history. Not only is St.Augustine the oldest city in the United States, there has been close to 500 years of American History in our little town. When you stay at the Historic Island Dog House you'll get to enjoy some of the prettiest streets I personally have ever seen, some of the most amazing history, and also some amazing history inside our home.

Why they chose this property

The House was built in 1920, it has the original Floors and Windows, and sits on such a cute old historic street. The location is in the best part of town, close to all attractions, and at night offers a quiet relaxing feel you just can't find in many places I've been to.

What makes this property unique

Walk or very short ride to the attractions that makes Saint Augustine Famous. Super quiet area and extremely safe.
